All the feasts are based on the Hebrew Civil Calendar, or the lunar calendar. So the date in our calendar has to be checked with the lunar calendar each year to find our corresponding date of a feast.

Pentecost is counted from the Feast of First Fruits, or Bikkurim. It is the day that Christ arose.

How does one then calculate the 2 Sabbath days the the women bought and prepared spices then? There was a high day, the 15th, and then there was a weekly Sabbath the 17th. The original Sabbath was at the end of the week during the first Passover, not the middle of the week as it was in the time of Jesus' death. This counting at Christ resurrection instead of the Passover day throws off the 7 weeks counted at the original Passover in Exodus. It doesn't say in the Bible that "firstfruits" started 3 days after Passover in the book of Exodus, or Leviticus unless I'm missing something.

Harumph!!! I"m leaving. If anybody has a loving heart to help me understand, as I have mentioned before, just PM me and that will really make me feel good. I AM SICK OF THIS GOING ROUND AND ROUND knowing that everybody who does that knows beyond a shadow of a doubt those that they argue with will never listen to you. Either ignore or just go somewhere else to do what is proper to teach and edify something that means something. Good grief!!!

I agree. But take heart brother, the enemy always gives it away, wherever strife and confusion is....might needs be investigated. Cuz we know he don't mess with the ones who are asleep! These Feasts are God's appointments, and God will keep His appointments, and on His time calendar.

I have stumbled onto something marvelous and wonderful! I will tell you later..

RedTent, don't know if your directing this at me or just in general.
But the Word of God is very specific about Daniel's 70 weeks,
and the Feast's of the Lord are very structured in the Old Testament!
God's blessings in your studies
I was talking only about scripture! But I don't think scripture does tell us what Daniel's 70 weeks means. Some good sincere men have decided it means different things after much study. It is used in Daniel for both the time of the Babylonian exile and prophecy. Was it referring to Christ? Does it mean weeks or years? Is it 70 weeks of years? Daniel, even, didn't know, he was reporting what he saw. If you think you know, it isn't definite in scripture and we aren't to add to scripture.

dear brother just-me.

what is missing is your day of passover.

god's sacred calendar is the true calendar.

and it shadows and types and gives orders of dates and events ( god's calendar ) from the beginning to the end times.

1. the passover feast began on wednesday evening/sundown ( according to the jewish customs given to them from god himself ) and ended thursday at sundown. for our lord jesus christ could only be sacrificed on passover... the 14th of nisan.

2. feast of unleavened bread began thursday from sundown ( 15th of nisan ) to friday sundown ( 15th of nisan ) was the high day. and this was now 1st night in the tomb and 1st day in the tomb. ( according to the jewish customs given to them from god himself )

3. friday from sundown ( 16th of nisan ) to saturday sundown ( 16th of nisan ) was the traditional sabbath. and this was the 2nd night and the 2nd day. ( according to the jewish customs given to them from god himself )

4. saturday from sundown ( 17th of nisan ) to sunday dawn ( 17th of nisan ) is the morning our lord jesus christ was resurrected and is also the feast of firstfruits. and this marked the 3rd night and the 3rd day to be risen as overlooked in luke 24:7-8.

luke 24:7-8
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]And they remembered his words,

and here is the true cincher thats over looked in leviticus 23:

leviticus 23:10-11
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

morrow means ( tomorrow/next day/ day after today ) and we all know the sabbath day is saturday; so therefore if the feasts fit not only a prophetic prophesy; they must also fit the days exactly as god gave each feast as a shadow of what is to come.

do you see the shadow, the type, and god's sacred calendar yet dear brother.

ties in exactly with our lord jesus christ at the cross, even upon hid death, and his resurrection.

now with this all in mind dear brother... now do your math and see it all fits according to god's holy plan.

god bless

Yes, Wednesday is correct. One thing a person must take into consideration is that the Jewish/Hebrew day is from sundown to sundown. The night that God passed over would have then been the 15[SUP]th[/SUP] day. As the sun rose, it was still Thursday the 15[SUP]th[/SUP] making the “High day” Thursday.

3. friday from sundown ( 16th of nisan ) to saturday sundown ( 16th of nisan ) was the traditional sabbath. and this was the 2nd night and the 2nd day. ( according to the jewish customs given to them from god himself )

[SUP]8 [/SUP]And they remembered his words,

Yes Friday is the day between Passover the 15[SUP]th[/SUP], and the weekly Sabbath the 17[SUP]th[/SUP]. Between those two days the women bought spices, and rested according to the commandment. They rested on the 16[SUP]th[/SUP] day. Again days are counted from sundown to sundown so the evening of the 17[SUP]th[/SUP] day or the Sabbath day begins the first day of the week which is the 18[SUP]th[/SUP] day of the month. I like this verse to compare with the scripture you presented.

Mark 8:31 (KJV)
[SUP]31 [/SUP]And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

and here is the true cincher thats over looked in leviticus 23:

leviticus 23:10-11

I agree with Leviticus chapter 23, and will also add verse Leviticus 23:6 (KJV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

Deuteronomy 16:6-10 (KJV)

[SUP]6 [/SUP]But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work therein.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the LORD thy God, according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:

The Sabbath high day when Jesus was crucified was Wednesday as you said. The year was 31 AD. That was 4 days before the first day of the week making the weekly Sabbath the 17[SUP]th[/SUP] as mentioned. That would make firstfruits beginning on Thursday during Jesus’ day, not Sunday, as we know it. Leviticus is referring to Passover Sabbath, which could have been another day besides the 15[SUP]th[/SUP] or the 17[SUP]th[/SUP]. That’s why the harvest is mentioned. It can be calculated however, but one needs to take into consideration that Israel came into the land 40 years after the first Passover. I don’t see where the calculations of yours match exactly between Moses’ day, and Jesus’ day. Now this is my question. Is the first week of the feast of weeks the week of unleavened bread, or are the 7 weeks it strictly counted according to the growing season that obviously varies from year to year?

Last but not least. Passover to Pentecost and the giving of the law all must coincide. They all need to be counted with the 50 days from Moses to Christ, from Passover to Pentecost, and the day God called Moses to give him the tables of stone with God's writing. There is a week that Moses waited for the smoke to clear. From what I have found, these days of consequence were all Sabbath days, but I could be mistaken. So the timing of the sickle to the sheaves as stated cannot be substantially calculated into the timing for it will very from year to year.

And now, where is it that I SAID that animal sacrifices would be offered for sin? Again, I said that animal sacrifices would be offered in the Millenium. I have NEVER said that ANY animal sacirifice was offered to pay for sin.

Again, you completely misunderstand the schoolmaster.

Nice try, but

Fourteen times, the text in Ezekiel calls for a "sin offering"

are your words, not mine.

wrong: they are God's, not mine.
in Ezekiel, which you claim is the temple and plan for the Millennium.
you said there will be sacrifices.

unless you are adding or taking away from the word of God - HE SAID FOR SIN.
what a weak man you are- won't even admit to your own beliefs.

to make some latter rain or fall feast future fulfillment, you have to change the ORDER.

Not sure what you mean. Christ's sacrifice happened on Passover. The year wasn't necessarily representative of a chronological history. It's just that the day Passover fell on within the year was significant. I'd have to strain to see how the Feast of Trumpets had come and gone already.

HE SAID FOR SIN

People don't always have a correct view of the sin offering if that's what you're referring to. The term actually refers to discrepancies in ceremonial cleanliness or unintentional sins. For example, a sin offering was to be offered after the birth of a child for ceremonial purification.

Leviticus 12:2, 6 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean. [...] And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:

I may be wrong, but I feel that Christ's sacrifice had nothing to do with ceremonial purification but with spiritual purification. If you look in the Torah there was also a ritual of bathing to bring about ceremonial purification. This is where our Baptism comes from. And we don't have people today claiming that Christ has done away with the purpose of Baptism.

Baptism and being baptized in Christ's blood may be related through symbolism or typology, but in practice they are two entirely different things. It's the same with the sin offering. The sin offering is related to Christ's sacrifice, but in practice it is something entirely different. The practice of the sin offering was not meant to serve as a substitution for the act of Christ's sacrifice, and the very act of Christ's sacrifice was not meant to serve as a substitution for the practice of the sin offering. Symbolically speaking, they could each be substituted. That's the deal with symbolism and typology. One thing acts as a representative of the other, and in a way this is substitution. But it's not really. Don't confuse symbolism with practice. We're still practicing Baptism, and that has nothing to do with Baptism taking the place of Christ's act.

John where do you learn the Scriptures?

Old Covenant Israel was abolished in 70ad, they do not exist on the earth any more!
Have you ever told someone you'd love them forever?
Forever meant from then until their Messiah was made known to them.
Old Covenant Israel's forever; was the Old way in Adam, it's all they ever knew.
It's the symbolic language of the Prophets.

God does not lie! You have no concept of whom you speak.!! No concept whatso ever!! No wonder all the confusion...oui
Romans 11
I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, 3Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.

Feast of the "Lord". If one is perfected in Jesus Christ why must they follow that which was not perfect. If it were perfect then there would be no need for God to send his son. Obviously there is no need for the feast if one is free willing in Christ to become perfect with God.

no need to highlight every bit of these.
i'm sure you can see the spiritual interpretation.

Passover

1 Corinthians 5:7-8
"Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."

The Feast of Unleavened Bread

continuation of passover - yeast typifies sin.
since Christ our passover is sacrificed for us, both the Passover and the feast without leaven (7 days eating bread without yeast) typify what Christ did for us on the Cross and, what we do in purging our lives of sin.

Firstfruits

1 Corinthians 15:20
"But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept."

until the sheaf of the firstfruits had been waved no one could eat bread, or other specific (first fruit) food items.
until God had accepted the offering of His Son; there would be no harvesting

1 Corinthians 15:23
But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.

The Feast of Weeks - Pentecost - Harvest

begun at the start of the seven weeks from Firstfruits

Leviticus 23:15
"'From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks.

NT calls this Pentecost ('pente') - commemorated the giving of the Law (50 days after the Sabbath following the Passover)

but now a New revelation comes on this Pentecost: not the law, the Gospel:

On the day of Pentecost following Jesus' resurrection (Acts 2), a new revelation was given to the people in the gospel preached by the apostles, with the invitation to all to enter a covenant with God through baptism into Christ.

Acts 2:38
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

The Feast of Trumpets

we will do this one another time. remember - this was for and about Israel first.
the trumpets were war blasts - relating to the jewish-roman wars...i.e:

Revelation 8
The First Four Trumpets

7The first sounded, and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth; and a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up. 8The second angel sounded, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea; and a third of the sea became blood, 9and a third of the creatures which were in the sea and had life, died; and a third of the ships were destroyed.

this is recorded in history (Josephus).

Revelation 9
The Sixth Trumpet

17And this is how I saw in the vision the horses and those who sat on them: the riders had breastplates the color of fire and of hyacinth and of brimstone; and the heads of the horses are like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths proceed fire and smoke and brimstone. 18A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues, by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which proceeded out of their mouths. 19For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents and have heads, and with them they do harm.

"Besides these [signs], a few days after that feast, on the one- and-twentieth day of the month Artemisius, [Jyar,] a certain prodigious and incredible phenomenon appeared; I suppose the account of it would seem to be a fable, were it not related by those that saw it, and were not the events that followed it of so considerable a nature as to deserve such signals; for, before sun-setting, chariots and troops of soldiers in their armour were seen running about among the clouds, and surrounding of cities. Moreover, at that feast which we call Pentecost, as the priests were going by night into the inner [court of the] temple, as their custom was, to perform their sacred ministrations, they said that, in the first place, they felt a quaking, and heard a great noise, and after that they heard a sound as of a great multitude, saying, "Let us remove hence"
- Josephus (A.D. 75) - Jewish Historian, Jewish Wars, VI-V-3.

“A supernatural apparition was seen, too amazing to be believed. What I am now to relate would, I imagine, be dismissed as imaginary, had this not been vouched for by eyewitnesses, then followed by subsequent disasters that deserved to be thus signalized. For before sunset chariots were seen in the air over the whole country, and armed battalions speeding through the clouds and encircling the cities.” - (Jewish Wars, VI-V-3).

The Day of Atonement

Hebrews 9:7,11
"But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;"

Hebrews 9:24-26
"For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself."
