I am really not understanding this. Pentecost does not fall on a day of the month, it is always 50 days after the day after the Sabbath within the Days of Unleavened Bread. It does not have a month-day fixed date.

Jesus spent 40 days on earth after His resurrection. 3 days in the grave makes 43 days, and 7 days later was Pentecost as I understand, completing the 7 weeks, and adding the Sabbath to make 50 days.

Exodus 19:1 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.

Exodus 19:11 (KJV)
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

The next scripture is 50 days after Passover,

Exodus 24:12 (KJV)
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

That would be approximately the beginning of the 3rd month that began the count. Then 7 weeks would be approximately in the end of the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] month leaving 2 1/2 months between first fruits, and the late harvest in the seventh month. Then there is no harvests leaving 9 months wit no harvest. From Passover to the resurrection of Christ is only 43 days not 50. Do I have this right?

??????????

From Passover to the resurreciton of Christ was three days. Pentecost is not the resurrection, there actually is no Feast Day for the resurrection.

I absolutely DO NOT believe in animal sacrifices for sin, that is one more of your absurd twists and lies. The truth is animal sacrifices NEVER paid for sin...

God has future animal sacrifices planned

Tell me when the Lord Jesus was seated on the throne of David? Christ Jesus will rule and reign from David's throne in Jerusalem. Animal sacrifice will be instituted to be a reminder to all the people of what death is. There will be no death on the earth during Christ's reign. The people will forget and when satan is loosed from the pit many will follow him.

then your honest view of scripture; includes a future Millennium; with Temple for sacrifices, which Ezekiel says are FOR SIN.
you agree.

I agree with most of what you said except that there will be no death on earth during the Millenium. From many scriptures it is obvious there will be human beings on earth during this time and...

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Although, during the Millenium, this may be more like a graduation than a death.

and here's your honest view of the Old Covenant:

"The Old Covenant will not pass away until the New Covenant is fully established at the return of Christ."

Hmmm, did you read what you highlighted? Is there a difference between someone who is ready to die and someone who has already died? The Old Covenant will not pass away until the New Covenant is fully established at the return of Christ. In the meantime only those God has called are under the New Covenant today.

No it is not, Ezekiel dedicated nine chapters to describing teh Millenial Temple down to the river that mraculously healed the Dead Sea.

Nope, the church today is the Temple, but there will be a literal Temple built during the Millenium.

And you think that every heathen nation will instantly obey perfectly? That there will not still be human nature in the heart of man? That there will be no sin? If that is the case, why do we read this...

See Ezek 47 here.

See Ezek 47 here.

The vision in Ezekiel 40-48 includes animal sacrifices.

Because Dispensationalists are committed to a literal, future fulfillment of Ezekiel 40-48, Dispensationalists believe that there will be a return to animal sacrifices during the Millennium.

Some Dispensationalists have tried to skirt the issue by arguing that the animal sacrifices are of a memorial nature. Thus, the animal sacrifices are simply pointing back to the death of Christ, in a similar way that the Lord's Supper points back to Christ.

However, the text of Ezekiel 40-48 belies this claim. These are not mere memorial animal sacrifices. Fourteen times, the text calls for a "sin offering" (Ezekiel 40:39; 42:13; 43:19, 21, 22, 25; 44:27, 29; 45:17, 19, 22, 23, 25; 46:20).

Leviticus describes the sin offering as "making atonement" (Leviticus 4:20, 26, 31, 35, etc.). These are animal sacrifices to atone for sin.

Ezekiel 40:39; 42:13; 43:19, 21, 22, 25; 44:27, 29; 45:17, 19, 22, 23, 25; 46:20

....

i'll come back to this later - since your "misunderstanding" concerning what is fulfilled and what is not applies to your FEASTS doctrines as well.

now about that lying about sin offerings.

Didn't mean that sorry. from the day Christ died to His ascension, not resurrection. My mistake. typo. You are right that there are no feast days for the resurrection.

Ah, but Ezekiel says there will [sacrifices] be in the Millenium. Take a read of Ezekiel 40 - 48.

you deny it in the very same thread you say it's true:)

now john.......about that lying about sin offerings.

OK now I really want to know about the feast of weeks. We we start counting it 7 weeks after Passover, and then count 7 weeks after that? That never made sense to me. I always thought that the 7 week count began the day after the Sabbath that followed the killing of the lamb. HELP!!!!

the spring feasts
1. passover 2. unleavened bread 3. firstfruits 4. Pentecos
t the fall feasts 5. trumpets 6. atonement 7. tabernacles

fulfilled.
who cares about what Jesus did though.
playing jewish church is fun.
When Zone uses the word fulfilled she says it means anything scripture tells us must be ignored that happened before the resurrection using human kind of time and not eternal time, when scripture uses the word fulfilled it means that now the blood of the cross can be used to the fullest.

Zone says do not listen to scripture, yet bible says it is for our edification.

The prophecy of the fall feast is yet to come.

That comparison will only accomodate one verse, sorry. I thought people would automatically associate it with preceeding and following verses. It is the day after the seventh week is completed, 7 X 7 is 49 plus the morrow 50..........after the Sacrifice for all mankind's sin, that is providing they do not reject Salvation, Jesus.

what about the former and latter rain, how the Spring Feasts was about Messiah 1st coming?

Good point. Please accept my apology if I have derailed this thread. It just make sense to me the counting of days starting with Passover. All things related to that, and all feasts counted from that month and day. Please forgive me. I have to have continuity to compute the truth. counting 49 days+ and additional 49 days = 98 days after Passover, and that hangs everything else out in mid air. If I m wrong, I would like to be enlightened by scripture. I will have to look this up in original Hebrew, and then post it here. It will look somewhat discombobulated.

This is Leviticus 23:15-16 direct from Hebrew.

15. And count for you, the day after the Sabbath, from the day brings you, the - Amar swing: seven weeks, they shall be. And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the day of rest, from the day that ye
16. Until the morrow of the seventh, You shall count fifty days, and you shall offer a new, Jehovah.

Might be benifical to look up "Amar swing" on the internet.

The positive meaning of "amar" is: to bind sheaves, to gather. The negative meaning of "amar" is: to manipulate, to treat as a slave.

why do you lie this way?:)

When Zone uses the word fulfilled she says it means anything scripture tells us must be ignored that happened before the resurrection using human kind of time and not eternal time

ignore everything before the resurrection? why lie Redtent?
don't you have a better argument against Jesus being the Focus and Fulfilment of everything than that?
let's start at Genesis.
ten thousandth request of YOU.
yet you don't.

when scripture uses the word fulfilled it means that now the blood of the cross can be used to the fullest.

it does? document that would ya?

is that what it means here?

Matthew 2:15
where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son."

Matthew 2
17Then what had been spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: 18"A VOICE WAS HEARD IN RAMAH, WEEPING AND GREAT MOURNING, RACHEL WEEPING FOR HER CHILDREN; AND SHE REFUSED TO BE COMFORTED, BECAUSE THEY WERE NO MORE."

Matthew 4
14This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: 15"THE LAND OF ZEBULUN AND THE LAND OF NAPHTALI, BY THE WAY OF THE SEA, BEYOND THE JORDAN, GALILEE OF THE GENTILES-

etc etc....

Zone says do not listen to scripture, yet bible says it is for our edification.

see the CAPS RedTent?
that means they were quoting the OT....i usually go to the OT chapter to read it.
do you EVER read the NT?

The prophecy of the fall feast is yet to come.

we'll see i guess.

what former and latter rain?
that was NOTHING more than exactly that...precipitation for farming.
not some allegory of Holy Ghost outpouring or anything else.

come on OT Feast ppl:)
surely you know what they were:D

okay.....exit for now.;)
the confusion and straining at gnats is amusing.

The word Pentecost is a Greek word which means the 50. Also called by Jews The Feast of Weeks, this feast is to begin precisely 7 weeks plus one day ( 7 weeks equals 49 days, add one more day and we get 50 days), after Bikkurim, Firstfruits.

I went to a Shul (I honestly don't know how it is spelled) during Sukkot (feast of tabernacles). It was quite interesting, even though I mostly wasn't able to follow what was being said. I was expecting something very .... what's the word I'm looking for? .... solemn perhaps. What I got to be part of though was shared celebration, joy and laughter, throughout it all. Definitely worth a try if you get the chance. The ritual with the Lulav and the Etrog was very interesting.

"On the first day, you must take for yourself a fruit of the Citron tree, an unopened palm frond (lulav), myrtle branches, and willows [that grow near] the brook. You shall rejoice before God for seven days."

I definitely would do it again, though I wish I had someone with me to interpret what is said.

Maybe you can answer my question. I'll ask it differently this time. Is the first week of the feast of weeks the week of unleavened bread, and does that 7 weeks also include first fruits throughout the remaining 6 weeks in the feast of weeks? I thought I had it right, and then in the last hour or two in here, it becomes confusion, and it doesn't make any sense for the way John talks. I'm not saying he's wrong, but I cannot compute his explanations and how they correlate with the New Testament. All the feasts are relevant for today. If we cannot bring it all into the One Mediator, there is no sense in their observation.

The prophecy of the fall feast is yet to come.

Your wrong! The Feast year of the Lord, (which began at Passover 30ad); was completely fulfilled in that same year. The major Feast of Passover was fulfilled at Passover; The Feast of Pentecost was fulfilled at the Feast of Pentecost! in the same feast year of 30ad! The major Feast Day of Atonement was fulfilled in 30ad in heaven in the same Feast Year of the Lord; of Jesus' Crucifixion! ,,,,

At the preaching of the Gospel this is referred to as the acceptable year of the Lord;
in other words, this is what God accepts, the fulfilling of this Feast Year!
It cannot be separated from the year it began, with Jesus' Crucifixion!

Yet another poison of Dispensationalism,
of tampering with Scripture!
many blessings

The word Pentecost is a Greek word which means the 50. Also called by Jews The Feast of Weeks, this feast is to begin precisely 7 weeks plus one day ( 7 weeks equals 49 days, add one more day and we get 50 days), after Bikkurim, Firstfruits.

Precisely 7 weeks from what? So are you saying that the 7 weeks begins right after Passover? Having to take into account the 40 days that Jesus was still on earth after His resurrection. This adds up to 43 days. Taking into account the 3rd month and the 3rd day in Exodus chapter 19 we can calculate 5 more days since Jesus' ascension was the 27th of the second month. we then have 48 days, and the day after that Moses build an altar and makes sacrifice. Don't quote me on this, but I'm just stating things that have made sense to me until this point. LOL:p

And now, where is it that I SAID that animal sacrifices would be offered for sin? Again, I said that animal sacrifices would be offered in the Millenium. I have NEVER said that ANY animal sacirifice was offered to pay for sin.

Again, you completely misunderstand the schoolmaster.

Nice try, but

Fourteen times, the text in Ezekiel calls for a "sin offering"

are your words, not mine.

Anyway, I am not going to be involved in arguing. I would rather you talk with me right now and come to a conclusion. In the last 2 hours I have many questions that need to be answered so I can comprehend the truth. I've talked with John before and now I turn to you for understanding. Hope it works.
