Just want to be clear that the lamb was not killed on the 14th, Leviticus 23:6 states the Feast of Unleavened Bread is "on the Fifteenth Day of this month (Aviv)". From this verse it appears that the passover sacrifice is to be brought at sunset at the end of the 14th and eaten on the night of the 15th. This is confirmed by Dueteronomy 16:4, which commands us regarding the Passover Sacrifice: "and there shall not remain of the meat that you slaughter at evening on the first day until the morning." It is clear then and confirmed that the lamb sacrifice is slaughtered and eaten "at evening on the first day" (the 15th).

I appreciate your input. From your explanation I have difficulty reconciling these next scriptures. I do, however, have no problem with the Feast of Unleavened Bread beginning on the 15th day of the first month. I have always thought the the next day begins at twilight from the previous day and there is no night at the end of any day. Therefore I do believe that the lamb was consumed at the beginning of the 15th day while it was still dark, and when God passed over. That would make the first day of Unleavened bread to be the day that the Passover was eaten. I know the weather was cooler during that time of the year, but unless I'm reading what you wrote incorrectly, it sounds as like they left the meat of the lamb sit (cooked or uncooked) for at least 12 hours before they ate it, even though they were instructed to eat it in haste. From what you have written, is appears to me that the Passover was eaten on the 2nd day of Unleavened Bread?

"On the morrow" appears to be when the sun rose. What do you think? I'm in the process of learning.
