Hi Christyg and welcome to CC. Re your situation it seems you should have an inkling as to what is the cause of this attitude your relatives have toward you. You know what I've decided after all the experiences I;ve had, I'd rather just go confront someone about something direct than to stress or guess what is going on. I'd sure pray, asking the Holy Spirit to bless your relations and guide you in resolving the issue. I pray it works out for you all, in Jesus' Name, Amen and God bless you.

Could it by chance have been a mistake or misunderstanding, like it wasn't intentional? I have been careless or just negated to remember all parties I wanted to invite to events before. It was just a d da d moment on my part, nothing more.

First off, I want to say I'm very sorry to hear your going through this.
Second, I will say this to you. I learned a long time ago that there is the family your born into and then the Christian family you have been Blessed with. If your Blessed to have them be one in the same, then that is awesome! If not, then it's not. Jesus has said that we would be hated by the world, as they hated him first. So, be of good heart, that, although some may discard you and your families worth, it is not a bad thing even though it may hurt. I look back and see that God was pruning dead branches off my tree, so I could flourish in him even more and make room in life for better things. Be of good heart. I don't normally quote scripture, but in this case one comes to mind that applies. May it bring you comfort and lighten your burden in the Good Shepard.
