This just shows how brainwashed we are as a people...

There is a lot more evidence and sound fact in a flat earth model. The globe model is filled with ridiculous numbers and values far too great for anyone to actually measure, unless of course you are a scientist from NASA.

Just go look across lake Michigan and tell me how it is possible to see the Chicago skyline clearly and completely at about 40 miles away.

Oh yeah, cus the earth is flat, that's why.

I love the way you say there is alot of evidence and sound facts to support the FE model, yet non of the models that you all present explain why we have lunar and solar eclipses, tides, asteroids, how orbital mechanics works or simple season changes... If you are going to present me the AE map as the model of the earth where the sun goes around in a circle 3000 miles up in the air between the tropic of cancer and Capricorn, you would have to explain why we have 24 hour sunlight in Antarctica and why the sun does not appear to move faster as it is making the greater diameter circle around the centre of the earth.

In regards to NASA lies, I would argue they are not the only people who support the heliocentric model, so its irreverent.

Scripture indeed is the final word but it is self-evident that the earth is round regardless on how one interprets any scripture that may possibly be construed one way or anther whether or not the earth is flat or round. Every word, jot, or title in the bible biblically matters however not every word may be immediately scripturally relevant to each unique individual. Personally, I'm trending towards round because of the preponderance of evidence that indicates the shape of the earth.

Yes - the Bible is the final word in any matter.

It matters where truth is concerned.

The Bible does not say "The Earth is flat." - but, if it did, would people believe it?

The Bible indicates to us by what it does say that the Earth is not a spinning ball flying through space and orbiting the sun.

The Bible describes the stars as being different than the sun. (i.e. - the sun is not a star.)

The Bible does not support the idea of "planets"; rather, what we call a 'planet' is actually a special form of 'star' ("wondering star"). The Earth is not a 'planet'.

The Bible very clearly illustrates the sun, moon, and stars as all being present together in a spatial region of finite size - with bounds 'above' and 'below'.

The Bible descibes the Earth as being stationary and non-moving.

And, there is more...

Much of this is fallacious at best. First, you have not provided any Scripture references despite your claims that the Bible says such and such.

The Bible does not say that the sun is not a star. It says that God made the stars also. The sun is special to us because of its proximity, as is the moon (the two 'great lights'). God did not specify the nature of the other lights visible in the sky, but later in Job and other places, He does mention them. You've made your argument on what is not stated clearly.

The universe is a spatial region of finite size (though extremely vast). The nature of the boundary above it is not laid out in detail, and as such, we do best to avoid dogmatic statements about it.

The Bible does not state anywhere that Earth is not a planet; again, you are making an argument from silence.

Context and some understanding of the original languages is critical when delving into this kind of argument. Trying to make your case from the English text is simply foolhardy.

People do not Believe Gen. 6 day creation so probably right!! cannot trust what "christians" believe....lol... If they do not believe Creation, can they be trusted in believing the Authority of God's Word? ....

But with that said why do not people fall off the Earth if they cruse to the arctic?

Fallacies are not a matter of opinion. You've added another one here; an irrelevant appeal to fear. Please, go and learn some logic instead of making invalid arguments.

Fear? Oh, give it a break. Please, go and learn how to chill out. That is just my way of saying that it is not worth writing what it would take to make a reply to all of the error contained in your retort -- as if to say:

"I think I will just let God sort it out later..."

Ah... you can't refute it, so instead you ignore it.

I'm so surprised.

I can refute it all day long --- I just get really tired of writing long posts - especially, on this infernal hand-held device (GRRR) - that seem only to fall into deaf ears...

When The Bible says four corners of the earth, foundations of the earth etc what does it mean?

The early patriarchs believed in a flat earth, and early civilizations did also.

Maybe the universe is a hologram and the earth is both flat and round like a quarter
