Yes I agree, if all the old things have passed away and all things have now become new, then the old man of sin is dead and gone. Those who teach a dual nature are teaching a "double minded man" who as is written is unstable in all his ways.

I think that's what we all are trying to tell you. Our spirit man is a new creation. Our soul needs to 'catch up. We are a trinity. Spirit, soul, body.

oh we do ... we do indeed

considering his entire purpose is to offend.......

You think Lauren? That's motive. I think he actually believes what he is saying. Just like in the tongues thread and with cessationists. Unless there is one who is deceptive.

there comes the gift of discernment.

Not you personally ISIT, but your words.

Like I told you in that other thread Jesus and his disciples reproved and even harshly rebuked the religious hypocrites of their day. If you think I'm in error for rebuking hypocrites then you also think they are also in error, my conscience is clean on the matter. If my teaching is in error on this matter then prove it.

Romans 6:6 KJV
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him , that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

We all still sin, we all still have fleshly desires, the OLD MAN CAN'T be our flesh.... so what is it?

Dude, that would have been you in their day that Jesus was rebuking.

And that hasn't changed today.

Oh my, another "disassociated identity" believer, to them the body still sins but you are still a "perfect spirit" even while sinning. That is the Gnostic belief of dualism. I knew something was off here.

~Dead to Sin, Alive to God
Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?
Rom 6:2 No, in no wise. How shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein?
Rom 6:3 Know ye not that all of us that are baptized into Jesus the Christ are baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 For we are buried with him by baptism into death, that just as the Christ was raised up from the dead to the glory of the Father, likewise we also walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection,
Rom 6:6 knowing this: that our old man is crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed that we should not serve sin any longer.
Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is justified from sin.
Rom 6:8 Now if we die with the Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him,
Rom 6:9 knowing that the Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more; death has no more dominion over him.
Rom 6:10 For he that is dead died unto sin once, and he that lives, lives unto God.
Rom 6:11 Likewise also reckon yourselves to be truly dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ, Jesus, our Lord.
Rom 6:12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Rom 6:13 Neither present your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin, but present yourselves unto God as those that are alive from the dead and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Rom 6:14 So that sin shall have no dominion over you; for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Slaves to Righteousness
Rom 6:15 What then? shall we sin because we are not under the law, but under grace? No, in no wise.
Rom 6:16 Or know ye not that to whom ye present yourselves slaves to obey, his slaves ye are to whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death or of the obedience unto righteousness?
Rom 6:17  Thank God that, although ye were the slaves of sin, ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine unto which ye are delivered;
Rom 6:18 and freed from sin, ye are become the slaves of righteousness.
Rom 6:19 I speak a human thing because of the weakness of our flesh: that as ye presented your members to serve uncleanness and iniquity unto iniquity, likewise now present your members to serve righteousness unto holiness.
Rom 6:20 For being previously the slaves of sin, now ye have been made the slaves of righteousness.
Rom 6:21 What fruit had ye then in those things of which ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
Rom 6:22 But now freed from sin and made slaves to God, ye have as your fruit sanctification and as the end, everlasting life.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the grace of God is
eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The only way to deal with flesh is to put it to death. Rise up then in Spirit which is first by a mind change.

~
Eph 4:17 This I say, therefore, and require in the Lord that from now on ye not walk as the other Gentiles walk in the vanity of their own senses,

Fleshly, sensual, the 5 senses or the human nature. Put it to death, believe it's finished for it is...

Its a process. Not instantaneous. We aren't born again and then automatically a mature man/woman who is walking victoriously.

Babes, young men, older men. This is outlined in 1John. We grow in the knowledge of Him and what He has given. The whole of the matter is we are of His body. A member of His presence on earth. He has given us of Himself, Holy Spirit, gifted us that we may grow and then give the gospel in power.

Some need little time, some need a lot.

yes I do

yes...he does believe it...does that make it less so?

if he didn't believe it, what would that mean?

do you not recognize that he believes he has the same calling as an old testament prophet?

which no longer exist?

he is not John the Baptist...except for the generation of vipers line, there is no similarity

Hypocrites...again are religious leaders who clean the outside of their life...and demand others do the same. By law.

Not born again believers in Jesus ISIT.

We don't keep plowing the ground once its been plowed. Plant the seeds and let them grow.

Again that your judgement of me, I have one who judges me, and it is not you. :)

John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

the words of Jesus...do you not see what he does Stonesoffire?

he absolutely does believe what he says...he reproves only...which is an indication of the wrong spirit

righteous judgement to him, is HIS judgement...and the heart is God's right to judge...not this nor any other mere man

but he does not see himself as a mere man....hence the constant barrage of and repetition of his stringing together of every verse he can find and twist into his personal string of false prophet renderings

Romans 8:10 (NASB)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

Sinning is the deeds of the body. It is by the spirit that we put to death the deeds of the body.

Romans 8:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

When we die - the flesh is not going with us. It still has the law of sin in it. The real person in Christ is the new creation. We have this treasure in an earthen vessel.

Paul said that in his flesh dwells no good thing. Romans 7:18

Romans 7:16-18 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good.

[SUP]17 [/SUP] So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

[SUP]18 [/SUP] For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.

We have the law of sin in our flesh which is why we are to walk by the spirit - the new creation in Christ and we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh to do "it's" desires - it wars against the spirit - the new creation in Christ.

Romans 7:20-23 (NASB)
[SUP]20 [/SUP] But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

[SUP]21 [/SUP] I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.

[SUP]22 [/SUP] For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man,

[SUP]23 [/SUP] but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.

So when Jesus saves us He only partially saves us??

If we die and go to heaven..our soul goes with us. But, our soul needs to be saved. Scriptures speak of the salvation of our soul, body, spirit. Instant in the spirit with sealing. That's seen as the stamp of the Kings approval. And is the authority of His name too.

But, our soul is our personality etc.

lol...you just did the same thing you accused me of.

We don't have to sin...but we do. why? because there is a weakness of flesh in some area. If we continue in sin, judgement will fall. But, grace rises and we return.
