Hello Everyone,

While welcoming someone to CC, I realized I haven't introduce myself.

My name is Laina pronounced (Lay-nah). I've been married almost 45 years. We have a son and a daughter and 7 grandchildren.

God has been very good to us. We've had struggles and difficult times and God is ever faithful to continue to bring us through each one. Many would not say this, but they are all for our good. His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. What a mighty God we serve! Nothing is too difficult for Him.

I hope to get to know many of you here and interact with you in the threads........ to love and serve God and one another.

I live in the desert, but grew up in beautiful Connecticut. The comparison between the two places is like night and day.

It was taking quite some time to like the desert. A couple years passed and I was born again and so I looked at all of creation in a brand new light. I love the desert now because God gave me a new heart and my eyes see the beauty wherever I am.

Yes, what a faithful God to make something beautiful grow in the desert. And grow in the desert of our hearts.
