LEVITICUS CHAPTER 26 NOTES
v1 God reminds no idols or images. Graven (archaic) meaning is engrave (an inscription or image) on a surface
v2 God reminds to keep His sabbaths and reverence His sanctuary. Sabbath is plural again
v3-4 God will bless those who walk in his statutes and keeps his commandments
v16 “I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.” - What God will do if you despise His statutes and do not follow His commands. Ague meaning is malaria or some other illness involving fever and shivering
v17 “And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.”- continuation of what God would do if you don’t follow his statutes and commands
v18 Seven is used again
v21 Seven is used again. God mentions reform

v30 God will be very angry if His people do not follow His statutes and commands
v33 God will scatter the children of Israel among the heathens if they do not follow his statutes and commands
v40-42 “If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me; And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.” - There is still hope! God definitely should be feared! Always be humble
