In ancient times, when I was not even a teenager, nerds always got the hot girl in the contemporary films about nerds. Those nerds had thick bottle glasses and pencils and fountain pens in the shirt pocket and was always laughing this gruesome laugh😁.

I remember those movies. It was all propaganda though, no basis in reality.

Isn't looking good primarily a woman's domain though? Someone mentioned "BC" glasses earlier (military issue black frames) I used to love those! Super sturdy and utilitarian, they were perfect for me.... despite the fact that I could light cigarettes with them lol. My point is, and please don't be offended ladies, women tend to obsess about what things look like... while men typically say "if it works don't fix it!" Obviously, couples who both wear glasses always have a great excuse to get closer.... just don't let them drive at night! :)
