I know they believe in three heavens and that we can become Gods, which sounds very familiar. Joseph Smith was supposed to have found some Gold plates which he read by using some Magic glasses he claimed to be the Urim and Thurim mentioned in the old testament. They conveniently got snatched back to heaven before anyone of note could examine them. At the start of the Book of Mormon there is a supposed testimony of his original followers that claim to have seen them. The odd thing is that two of them later denied it but their names are still on the list.
I have always found that they tend to pretend to listen to you, and interested and as soon as conversation slows, they always find a point to bring it all back Mormonism.

I think stating what it is about is fine, and a good thing.

I dont quite understand how you could know they are coming to visit and why you havent put a stop to it beforehand.
The second year after I was saved, some white shirt, tie wearing young Morman "elders" turned up on my door. The gave me the Book of Morman to read, and told me that when I felt the "burning in my heart" I would know that the Morman religion was true.
I took and read the first few pages, mostly out of curiosity, and found 2 direct contradictions to the Bible in those pages. And I was just a new Christian! It was that obvious. I showed them the contradictions with my NASB and told them I wasn't interested in their religion, I just wanted to follow Jesus.
Since then, I have heard that Morman men want to be gods and populate their own planets with their children. And you need to be married to become a "god." And preferably lots of children.

My one warning would be for you to realize that there is no such thing as just an ordinary Mormon. They are all missionaries and required to do 2 years on the mission field, making converts. I remember when Benji won "So You Think You Can Dance," he had to take time out to go on mission with his "church." Although they never said what church it was, he was from Utah, so I have to guess he was a Mormon.
So these people you are visiting are trained missionaries trying to convert you. Of course, if you know the Bible well, and keep on the full armour of God you will be ok. But don't underestimate them, ok??
Oh, and the Mormon church is putting out a lot of material that says they are not going to become Gods. But as you can see above, this is a long time doctrine of the church.
If things get really touch, ask them about the signs on their underwear they have to wear to be holy. This from one of their own sites talks about the underwear, but the rumour is there are also signs or images on them. (I would really like to know if this is true!)

They called last night from a number I didn't recognize and like an idiot, I answered it.. :/ As to why I haven't stopped it before now, I always felt guilty for telling them no. Don't ask why, I dunno the answer myself..lol
I never knew any of this stuff about Mormons, that they believe they'll be gods with their own planets, etc etc.. The most involved I got with them was sporadically going to church service every so often, and being brought back home right after. They did talk about getting sealed with my family, baptized for dead relatives, etc, and if I remember correctly, they even asked me if I wanted to go to the temple.
So that's why I'm gonna let the No Soliciting sign speak for me. Fortunately I can hear the outer hallway door creak when it opens, and I NEVER answer my door anyway, even if I know who it is..
This is good. Yeraza_bats you should/could sit with the mormons you are going to visit with and show them this.

Trace back the god thing with them. If we become gods, and since god was once a man like us, then who was the previous god before our god, and who before that ad infinitum ad nauseum. Then cap it off by asking "Will the real god please stand up?"

This is a good video and a good look at Mormon "principles??" I don't think I can call it doctrine, because it seems like it was just imagined up by some very disturbed people.
My limit for videos is 5 minutes. So this one fit in nicely under that limit.Well worth the watch, everyone!
Ya! My sentiments exactly. The video of the private temple ceremony was just plain creepy. I watched for about 20 minutes and couldnt take any more. Wow! I felt as if I was dining with satan
