When you say that you are "new to everything in general", do you mean posting on Christian forums, new to the family of God (a new believer, that is), or something else :unsure:

Thank you for welcoming me and sharing the verses. What I meant was that for a very long period of time I was in a place so far from Christianity. I didn't post on Christian forums before nor did I read the Bible and believe.
Now I would consider myself to be a very weak believer. I do 100% believe in the transformative power of the Word of God and in His presence. I also think that a lot of Christians and disciples and followers of Jesus have died to the cause and that there is a lot of historical proof so I do believe in Jesus. But this process of change will be taking me a lot of time.

you can speed it up by becoming a born again Christian!

Nice to meet and have you in the fellowship here at CC! Reading the Bible everyday is an excellent thing and I do the same. Faith comes by hearing the Word and faith is key to Christian life. God bless you and btw I'm fascinated by the stone carvings in Lebanon esp Petra! What a sight they must be.

We do have a lot of historical sites in West Asia and the Middle East. These were the countries where Jesus used to travel and give His miracles.
I haven't gotten the chance to visit Petra but I've been to Sidon, Tyre, Baalbek, Byblos and also visited a Lebanese cedar trees' reserve. It is the tree mentioned many times in The Bible (that was used also to build Solomon's Temple)
