I love to read the Bible, prayer, spending time with God. I like to cook, go out hangout, watch the sunsets, photography. I have no Christian friends around my age to talk to and it's not easy. It gets very frustrating because when I talk to people on they only have a short conversation and that's it. Not long lasting ones. :( I looking for some Christian friends around my age to share my faith with along with prayer for each other.

Well I think you've come to the right place then. Welcome. We're pretty easy to get along with here in singles, but there are pharisees that lurk on other parts of the site.

I welcomed you in this same thread, which is already in new members forum. It is un-necessary to make duplicate threads in multiple forums. :)

I didn't see your thread in the other forum, so I'm glad you posted here, Stephon. Welcome!! Feel free to jump in and share your thoughts in the threads here

Hi Stephon, and welcome! Jump in, share a thought, ask a question, encourage someone. Be yourself (nobody else can!) :)

Hi Stephon,

I'm glad you posted here and welcome to CC! :) I work 6-7 days a week and limit my time to primarily the Singles Forum, so I never saw your posts in the other forums either.

We hope you'll jump right in and join the fun. :)

Is like this. When I talk to somebody around my age, they either talk to me a lot every time I run into them for about a month but after that don't talk to me much. Or after I say hi to them they say hi and go there way (more like saying hi and have a nice day). All this shows they no interested to hangout with me which sends a lot of frustration to me because I just want to be a simple friends by not rushing into a relationship or marriage. I feel so abandon from millennial community to the point where I say to God "God help me. Help me send patience after what I been through." With no good friendship with the millennials who I run to, I decided to go online, including this website, to look for some Christian friends. Pray for me to have patience in my life in the times we living.

Hi Stephen, maybe we can help you with this. Where are you seeing these people that they talk to you, or don't talk to you? Is it at school, work, passing by on the street? Have you tried inviting them over for a meal or to a movie or something? Sometimes being more intentional in the way you spend time with people can help.

I can relate to you, because of the technology stuff most people are disconnected from others (and no being a facebook friend is not the same as being in person with a friend and hanging out). Don't feel frustrated, as it is normal now a days and people are distracted by too much media/internet stuff. Most friendships are really "acquaintances" these days and true friends you can probably count on your fingers (ones who help you when your going through stuff)....It is a generation that is inherently absorbed with self (it's not our generation's fault but that's the way media/society has brainwashed them into thinking it's all about me...) Because of people posting constantly on twitter/facebook about how "cool" /what they did today just to attract attention to themselves (Oh i went to the bathroom status update for example...when no one cares or needs to know) it has fed into a narcissistic mentality (note if you use facebook I'm not calling you a narcissist I'm just using an example of how absorbed with self tools like facebook can make someone)
this causes them to focus on themselves more and not be interested in others or keep close ties to anyone....it's on to the next new fad/gadget etc....it's a generation of no committment to anything....and sadly that mentality will lead to it's doom....

Try that. But that fail as they make excuses.

Ok.
In relationships there is a "spark", or " electricity".

If that chemistry is not there, then maybe move on.

Some personalities get sparks galore, some very sparse sparks.

I don't get very many anymore, but ,for me,it is better at my age.

To me,you need to cultivate a relationship with some older people, and pull wisdom from them.

By refocusing, you can let the younger ones kinda "happen" naturally instead of you trying to make it happen.

Also,in the meantime, get a handle (knowledge) on human personalities and conduct your own experiments on human traits and personalities.

You will kinda get the "mechanics" of what others are finding "toxic" in you.

We are all to some degree"toxic".

I like to say a very warm thank you for being here for me especially for the people around my age that respond to me here. :) I feel really blessed to have people around my age that going through the same situation that I am going though.
