Has Anyone Changed Their CC Forum Avatar/Picture Here (in the forums,) But It Did Not Change Their Picture in Chat?

Hello,

From what I thought/observed, whatever you chose as an avatar/profile picture here in the forums also appears as your profile picture in chat.

However, as an experiment, I have changed my avatar/profile picture at least twice here in the forums since I started chatting, and while the new picture always shows up in the forums -- my original picture, the one I started chatting with -- still appears when I go into chat.

Is there an actual place in our forum settings to choose a different picture for chat than from what appears in the forums?

If so, I haven't figured it out and would appreciate any tips.

So, curious I just signed into the chat.
Here is what I see:
Because you and @Lynx both have created a room there, your avatar shows (otherwise I don't think I'd be able to see it right now without you being there).
Yours show a different pic than here, and his shows his old pic.
Once I click to join in a room I found the 3 dots at the top right of my page (I'm doing this on a laptop, fyi, in case it makes any difference on a phone/tablet. )
Clicking those 3 dots brings a pop up that says "settings/preferences"; however, clicking on settings/preferences says "coming soon".

My guess is that at some point that would be where to change your image, if indeed it can be made different or synced up with forums, but that's just my guess.

Now, just like you, I changed images here, went and signed back in there and my original chat image is still what shows there.

I have kept my original avatar since I joined. Have no intention of changing it. I like that splash of color that hopefully somewhat expresses my character.

While I like changing my avatar for variety, I do appreciate members who keep the same one -- because it makes it so easy to identify their posts.

I do know it must have possible to change your avatar in chat at one time though because a mod changed theirs -- though of course, I'm sure the mods have access to menus we regular sheeple don't.

One of the other little "glitches" I've noticed is that the default seems to be that when you log in, the page displays all available rooms and you pick the one you want to enter.

I've had a few times though, both through phone and laptop, where the system just drops you into the Bible Study room automatically and you can't see what rooms are available unless you use the drop down menu in the upper left corner, then choose to jump to another room.

I know the other chatters have said the admin is still working on things, and I appreciate all the hard work they're putting into it.

I would love to see CC return to its glory days when you could login and see tons of people from all over the world, chatting every day.

no but robocop is going to change my color to green, my favorite color. he's currently working on it.

I've a habit of constantly changing my avatar and recall times when some would see the new avatar and others would see the old one (if they were on before I changed the avatar, they still saw the old avatar), that is until they left and came back, then they would see the new one also. This glitch seems to be something of a similar issue.
