Of course. God IS Love. He must be hated by those who ARE Hate. Completely 2 different natures that cannot go together at all!! You can't even relate or compare!!

Thought this should be brought to the attention of those who follow the Messiah:

Mattithyah 24:9, "Then they will hand you over to be afflicted, and will kill you; and you will be hated above all peoples for My Name's sake."

Religious Hostilities Reach Six-Year High | Pew Research Center's Religion & Public Life Project

My biggest "prosecutors" have been pastors who hate the Gospel of Repentance Faith and Holiness for salvation. They say I am preaching a "works" sal. and should be demoted fired and ridiculed and smeared. Hoffco

Firstly, the study says' harrassed', not killed.

And it's numeric value is little opposed to the hundreds of years where 'christians' burned and pillaged willingly.

It would surprise you to know that christianity was a pacifist religion in its beginnings, and then came the Roman Empire's grasp. And since then we've had the crusades, the inquisition, reformation, witch-burnings and of course, the holocaust.

You might want to take a look at the history of how European christian church authorities both depicted jews, accused jews, and how they promoted hateful treatment of jews. It is no wonder so many people were willing to exterminate them.

Nazi propaganda had jews draining blood from christians. The Nazi's used the blood libel and host nailing accusations to incite hatred towards them.

Just one instance of a government or authority inciting christians into persecuting another religion.

A third of the world's population identify as christian at present. What with the wars in the middle east, and with the US being a sensationalist media geographic, cases of reported violence on christians will be far more widely reported than other religions. Since a third of the world's population is christian, christians are also likely to be persecuted, even if it is not due to religious reasons, because there are simply so many christians.

My last point is this;

What about the hundreds of thousands of innocent muslims and other religious people murdered with carpet bombs, bullets, bombs and missiles in Iraq and Afghanistan?

I watched a recent documentary that found statistics painting the ratio of civilian to target casualties as an astonishing 7:1, and I'm fairly certain that the bombing of shepherds and farmers doesn't get included in your calculations. 'Righteous killings of war', right?

9/11 saw 1,995 deaths (of which some were muslim workers in the towers), and the 'war on terror' has killed at least one million, at the very, very conservative estimate. Most of these are Iraqi and Afghan civilians.

You tell me how that's not genocide?

I don't condone violence, but I can certainly see why a christian (an American or British christian, specifically) might be persecuted in other countries.

My great grandfather served to defend the jews in Germany and in France, and to defend innocents. The World Wars were horrible, but we fought for something worth fighting for, then.

My grandfather fought that the powers that be could end the war and assign the Geneva convention. And do you know what America have done? Committed the most heinous international crime under the laws of that very convention.

I wouldn't call a mutt a pedigree poodle, neither would I call a church/state half breed a christian church. I do agree that the atrocities done against the Jews in the name of Christ were despicable, yes, but they weren't christian.

They said there have been more christians killed in recent years than throughout history. The killings of christians in 2013 rose, and they said 2014 WILL get worse. Not surprised.

It is not something fun to think about BUT, I think all followers of the Messiah must take notice that there is a possible change happening, a change that will be the beginning of terrible times.

This is exactly my point dcontroversial. People shout from the rooftops about being 'christian'. 'Oh, look at my label, he he, it's different from yours'. But there are few 'christians' who shout from the rooftops about having dinner with the 'tax-collectors' of society and wanting to do good rather than win groupies.

If I go to a muslim country and start shouting 'hey, ho' I'm christian and guess what, Mohammed's a fraud!', how do they respond? That's like going into a lion's den and telling them not to be lions. Granted, it's a ridiculous example, but all the same, that's how it's gonna be viewed if you go somewhere with conversion as your motives, above compassion.

You'd be surprised to know that the Koran places reverence on Jesus Christ, and his teachings. He's a respected, wise person who should be listened to. They just don't place respect on being told they're whole lives have been idiotic and all their compassionate deeds are worthless if they don't have metaphysical beliefs in christ.

WALKING Jesus' path of compassion and self sacrifice is taking up a cross and SACRIFICING yourself for others' sake, and I know lots of 'muslims' who do it.

How would you react though, if a muslim majority, just as convicted of themselves as you are of your beliefs, began living in each house in your street and telling you, albeit backhandedly, that your whole life and creed is a lie and you're an idiot, for all intents and purposes?

sigh, Issa is a different Jesus than the one our Scriptures testify of.

.

So the reason I use Mattithyah is because it is his real name, I go with truth over tradition.

If you mistrust "tradition" then maybe you should use/quote all scripture in hebrew,
because it's the original language of the Old Testament
(and make even less sense to most here, I mean the fact that I had to ASK says enough)

I wonder what that ''Islamophobia'' title is doing at the bottom of that list?

Friend, brother, the answer to this is found in studying a man named Zbigniew Brzezinski, if you want to get deep read "The Grand Chessboard" but just studying him a bit as Carter presidential advisor and his actions in Afghanastan in the early 80s is plenty.

Well, I did not think Mattithyah could not be understood as Matt.

Also if one knows Scripture and verse should sound familiar with no name even. And how far will this go, must we all use one translation? The KVJ reads different than the NIV?

Why am I attacked for using their real names?

What if a Scripture is traditionally mistranslated, and this is even admitted in the preface of the Bible?

Should we stick with this tradition? Or should we go with truth?

And what if a particular tradition comes from pharisee tradition and is literally against the COMMAND of YAHWEH?

And soon. Maybe even sooner than most Christians care to admit? So, when this happens there will be more surprised and confused believers than there should be. Jesus said in this world we (believers) would have tribulation, we'd be hated, if the world hated Him it would hate us, we would be hated for HIS name sake, a servant is not above his master, if the world persecuted Him it would persecute us. It just hasn't reached the Us...yet. So, when it does we should not be surprised if we had paid attention to what He had warned us all (believers) about. In Matt 24, Mark 13, Luke 21 he was addressing believers about what would take place.

Ephesians 6:10-11, "10 Finally, my brothers, strengthen yourselves in Yahweh, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of Yahweh, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."

We need to take heed and prepare SPIRITUALLY, mentally and physically.

There may come a time when the word is not easily accessible, and it may be that what one knows at that point is what they know. We need to diligently study Yahweh's words and stay in prayer!

Why stop with a name or two? Why not all the Scripture? Perhaps we all need to learn ancient Hebrew to 'truly' know His Word?

Names hold meaning, words can be translated and keep their meaning, names can not.

The name of YHWH can not be translated in "Jehovah" "the Lord" or whatever and keep its meaning.

With that said I do believe in consulting original hebrew and greek texts, of which there are many and deciding which copy is best is a task in itself, but for Yahweh why not? To know the truth why not?

Reply to Hizikyah:

Matthew is a given name that ultimately comes from the Hebrew name "Matityahu" (Gift from God), translated into the greek to Mattathias and then shortened to Matthaios when it lost its meaning, translated into Latin as Matthaeus, English Matthew

My name means "alder tree" but everyone just calls me: Vernon :D

Ha'Mashiach be with you always.

Psalm 135:13, "Your Name, O Yahweh, endures forever! Your memorial, O Yahweh, is for all generations!"

That's what I said: if you don't like "tradition" (and translations are tradition too) just go back to the original, not just with the NAMES, but with the WHOLE Bible.

Yeah this is true, but is only going to get worse...right now there are places where they won't cut your head off for being Christian, but that will change someday soon!

If they will kill the master.....
am waiting for that day,am fed up with this world.
and by Grace of God if it happens that way,i will plead to God to strengthen me to go through it.

To live for me is Christ(struggling or perfect sinless),and to die for me is GAIN...
