There are a lot of peeps from Australia here so you should feel right at home. I was a bit clueless too when I first joined but learned a lot just by clicking on things to see what happens. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

Are you an Outbacker? I have found that the most beautiful part of Aus. is a clear Outback night sky.

There is a thread called The Chat Thread. That is a general Chat thread, should you choose to use it. You can also reach out to specific people by putting the @ symbol before their name like so @BlessedByGod . This will send an alert message to that person that someone is "talking" about them / or to them. They can use that link to see what is being said to them or about them.

I pray this gives you a leg up on chatting (didn't read the other responses yet, so hopefully I'm not repeating what someone else already said).
