How far away are you willing to date?

I would relocate if necessary. It seems to make sense to gauge if it's the right relationship, having some real space. Seems like it'd get the fuzzies out or not.

There's a lot of groundwork that can be done via the snail mail. I would love to start a penpal relationship from the get go. Seems romantic to me somehow.

I would prefer to find someone within a half-hour's drive. However, I'm willing to go much farther for someone I consider amazing.
 
Ive heard LGBT people say 'love is love' and they are willing to elope to nz. But they cant right now cos our borders are closed.

I never thought of NZ as a honeymoon destination. People in nz go to Rarotonga for honeymoons if they can afford it. My brother once decided to go to Dubai just to attend a wedding. Not sure whats so romantic about Dubai, but his workmates got married there.

I wondered why not just get married on the moon, if you want to go that far, cos one country did send some men there. I dont know why their wives didnt go with them. would be an expensive date though....

Super question! Before I got married it was 50 miles, then after about 30 years became 400 miles and ended up being almost 10,000 miles, but I got married. Never give up. Webcam apps make that possible.

Though I prefer to meet a woman in Montreal where I currently am or in Chicago where I was for over 10 years and might be in the future, to be frank, I am open to loving a woman I meet online who lives anywhere in North America or Europe where I get along the most with people. I hope that answers your question.
 
I don't date but if I did I would imagine she would have to be in the same church as me.

I wonder about the mini churches though. are the megachurches putting the minis out of business?
Imagine the size of the wedding parties in megachurches. Although I havent actually been to a wedding at a megachurch. Do they have them often? You would think they would be a hotbed of matchmaking if there was this church rule that every chiristian had to be married.

Weddings are weddings. People invite who they want to come. It is usually people that know them that come. People don't know everyone in a megachurch, they know who they know.

If you live in a small town you are probably not going to a megachurch. If you live in a big city you can go to a small church or a megachurch. Is the megachurch making people in a small church leave to go to the megachurch just because it is bigger? I doubt it, if they leave to go to the megachurch I would assume they believe God is leading them to do that.

Some people want a small church so they will be looking for the smaller church.

If the megachurch has better expository preaching that could be one of the reason it is growing, and if the small church has lame preaching that might be the reason people are leaving. Or if the small church has nothing for children and youth and the megachurch does you can't blame families for wanting their kids to enjoy church and taking them where they are more likely to get involved and have positive influence on them.

We should all want our church to outgrow its facilities and reach the community for Christ. I would that all God's churches were mega churches and that the entire city would be saved. :)
 
Megachurches might be overwhelming to some people though. I would much rather attend a small church service. My church is medium-size I'd say, neither small nor large. I like it quite a bit and enjoy communing with all the people in it.

I think that is the reason they start these satellite campuses. They realize that they can't just keep building bigger meeting places and the goal of reaching the community with the Gospel would be better served by planting churches in other areas of the community and let those grow until they need to plant churches etc etc.

megachurches remind me of those imax cinemas that are just oversize cinemas...bigger screens, bigger speakers, more seats (and people) to climb over.
there are some churches actually in cinemas where its just broadcasting a sermon and instead of communion people just have popcorn and coke.

You've witnessed this? It's definitely an option to rent out a theatre. That's especially true when theatres aren't usually open at 10am. I would be super surprised if they were behaving exactly as if they were seeing a movie.

That could also be true of attitudes of people in the smallest churches. Many people just attend a church service to listen to a sermon and go home until next week to do it all over again.
