Hey yall, its good to know you. Im new and annoying at the same time (Im extroverted.) Anyhow, I just had a deeper than a well convo with one of my friends who happened to grow up EXTREMELY sheltered. I mean SERIOUSLY. About as serious as the business end of a .45- so I tells him:

Helping somebody grow is allowing somebody to make mistakes, and being there when they need to get put back together. Coach only to their comfort, and make a big whoop over even the smallest accomplishments. So my question is, how yall help others grow who are having a hard time? See yall.

Hi @werenotinkansasanymore,

Monday is one of my busiest days of the week, so I usually can't spend much time here. But when I'm able to catch up, I'll often leave a reaction emoji on posts I find interesting.

The system had an upgrade this year, but it also cut the list of reaction emoji's in half, so the praying hands emoji has become my "default" choice.

As for helping others grow... For me it depends on a lot of things. I first have to determine how well I know the person and if there's time, pray about what God wants me to do. If I don't know them very well and don't have a history with them, I don't feel I have the authority to say much (unless, of course, it's something blatantly wrong.) I'd have to get to know them for a while first. But, that's just me.

Your signature is interesting -- you say you're a fisher of men going after "the deadliest catches."

Any stories of your most dangerous catches so far?

Welcome to CC!

PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING. Good answer, GOOD ANSWER. I agree. What folks aint got mind on is earning trust to have the go head to even speak into anybodies life.
The "Deadliest Catch" thing is on grounds of the type of folks that like eating my fruit. There go all kinds of folks that God uses to minister to people. Im um...of a sort, lets just say.
I went on a missions trip once and I asked to be the 1st to talk in the youth prisons. Everybody in the group was shocked that the youth was eating my fruit so good. I had to tell them: "yall dont understand WHERE theyre from. Im FROM THERE."
Im from the worst county in Kansas. Im just real good with rougher sorts and kinds. Young single moms, young men with no dad, gang members, the abused, all that. The Master be like: "show them how you walk with me so they can see it dont matter where theyre from."

I followed you too. We good as friends now.
Instant friends, girl, just add water...

Actually, @seoulsearch is quite the wordsmith. She also has excellent verbal and written communication skills. Very articulate.

Matthew 4:1-11
New International Version
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”
11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
