I thought the Holy Spirit would "guide them into all truth?"
There is only one truth and that is Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit constantly directs you to Jesus.
We don't save ourselves by ticking a set of boxes.
Salvation is a free gift given to those that
believe in Jesus.

John 1:7
He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
