Come on, lets purge it all out of our systems now and be done with it....

No. Thanksgiving is more of a civil holiday than a spiritual or religious holiday. Christmas is a different story.

I can guarantee the Holy Days of YHWH are not satanic, but are righteous and ALL of them are prophecies about the works of Yahshua/Jesus, the first 3 have been fulfilled in His 1st coming, and the last 4 will be fulfilled in His 2nd coming.

Amen. This is the more important point. This is a case of man caring more about their own traditions than God's. And we all know how Jesus felt about man-made traditions over God's.

Tradition...

Mark 7:5-9, "Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him; Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands? He answered, and said to them: Well has Isayah prophesied of you hypocrites--as it is written: This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrine the commandments of men. For laying aside the Law of YHWH, you hold the tradition of men! Then He said to them: How well you reject the Law of YHWH, so that you may keep your own tradition!"

Mark 7:13, "Making the Laws of YHWH of no effect through your tradition you have handed down! And many other similar things you do."

Yeah they rejected what the Most High gave them for man made tradition, sad. You know it seems so easy to be able to tell what is man made and what is of Yah, for we have the word. Now with that said all tradition is not bad, but any tradition of pagan origin and/or that is against anything Yah says is bad. No ifs, ands or butts.

Pretty much out of context.... Jesus was condemning the Jews for creating their own laws and traditions, and pushing aside God's laws.

Says nothing about observing a holiday. In fact, scripture says we are free to observe one day over another if it does not violate our conscience, IIRC.

How is it that we constantly see scriptures changed...like this one here. It gets changed to "Making the Laws of YHWH of no effect".

Mark 7:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] thus invalidating the word of God by your tradition which you have handed down; and you do many things such as that."

I thank God for His word and this thanksgiving is not satanic..:)....but let's quote the scriptures as they are really written and also through the work of Christ and not change the words.

I was referring to post # 26 which had changed the scripture and put in their own words - not your post...:).

In Canada we have a different Thanksgiving day than in the US....don't know why though..lol

Dear brother, Ill give my gifts to you like Elijah did. so God give you my blessing and bye because Im reaching my frustration point very much lol

We are all full of thanksgiving to our Lord! No jumping out of windows...that's not allowed...or the earth will open up and swallow you...lol ( how is that for condemnation?..
)

I know this was posted tongue-in-cheek, but just knowing there are people that actually think it's a pagan holiday just blows my mind.

This is the richness of the OP....and that people are actually demonstrating....I will be nice....

This is completely ridiculous. The meaning of Thanksgiving is about being thankful for what we have. Something that we should be appreciative of each and every day. It's not about stuffing our faces, or watching football (even though I do enjoy football). I mean, the words are in the holiday. Giving thanks. Since when is giving thanks satanic? Folks really are trying hard to grasp for something.

If you cannot understand the irony of the OP , think for a minute about it....
