The Word of God is true and teaches us all of the way to salvation in Christ Jesus.
If the Word of God was not true and reliable then how can God judge people against his Word?
Truth is what is most despised in our days.
People want to do things there way - all roads lead to God. All religions are equal.
Jeus was not God just a very good moral teacher.
I can marry anybody I love.
No wonder people are so gung ho to discredit the Word of God as fiction from human minds.

The person who told me such is a believer . It all started with me saying "I don't accept homosexuality"
And after several questions and answers, she told me "How can you know homosexuality is wrong ,if the Bible is written by men and not God Himself? You should read more"
There you have your answer.
People do not want to repent and to deny their sinful ways.
They know that the good book condemns homosexual love.
So what to do??
The rules of life are not applicable - of course they don't apply to me or my sinful friends.
The rule book is not true. Perfect let out. No need to repent.
Tell this theory to the police officer and the judge when you end up in court for an infringement or crime.

Just because people do not believe in the truth does not mean that truth ceases.

I still don't believe her, even if she says I should be more open minded, so making me worry for something I already am. With my open mindness I come to the conclusion that Christianity is right. I may be wrong but I feel that Christianity and the Bible are not wrong and are not a lie.
In fact I told her : "What if what you believe is a lie?" She didn't answer , she just continued to talk about how she read a lot about every religion and her conclusion .

Words in the Bible came from the mouth of prophets, Jesus, God, apostles, servants of God, devil, wicked men, atheists, and false prophets but were commanded by God to be written by his prophets, servants and apostles.
How authentic are the words of God? In the book of Daniel, it was prophesied that knowledge will increase and men will run to and fro and today it is happening.
In the Bible, in Job 37:7 it mentioned the science of fingerprinting. during ancient times in Israel, men were not aware of it.
In the Bible, it was prophesied that the earth is round in Isaiah. but for many centuries, men believed that the earth is flat.
In the Bible, A lot of people tried to disprove the existence of Sodom and Gomorrah but if you'll google about it, you can read a lot of articles about its existence.
Even the existence of King Sargon in Isaiah was even questioned but later it was proven that it is real.
This proves that the Bible is authored by someone who is greater than all humans in the universe who has the capacity to predict what will happen in the future and later it was commanded to be written by his servants.
even places and some personalities who were once questioned about its existence later found out to be true.
This is the reason why I will never doubt that there is God existing who created all things in the universe and the Bible is His Book.
I didn't know how to reply to her, unfortunately. I get easily intimidated but I really feel the Bible is right , but I couldn't tell her that the Bible is right just because I feel it.
Now everyone that assisted to the discussion think I'm wrong and I made a big mistake. I just wish there were one or two of you guys to explain Bible's authenticity. Because I failed.
It's just that I'm used to the faith but I'm new with the subject...

I also advise you to pray for that woman that someday she herself will realize that she is wrong and accept that the Bible is an authentic book and there is God that exists.
words are not enough to convince most of people because at the end of the day, he will not be convinced.
I think if she argues with you don't answer her anymore because just read Proverbs 17:14 to know the reason why I said this thanks.

I can understand what your going through when talking to nonbelievers.
I have been asked questions that I could not immediately answer. I thought that was failure. It is not . Not knowing somthing isn’t failure. It’s a opportunity to learn for the both of you . Simply respond with a polite let me get back with you on that . It’s better than a out of your hat answer or getting upset . If they are truly looking for a answer they won’t mind . If not then you may want to avoid the topic with her or that person altogether. Also still look up the answer if she doesn’t want to know . So you can know the next time someone asks the same question. Still pray for the person .

She is a believer . Probably she got to her own conclusion because of her lifestyle. I presume she may be in a "Should I or should I not?" period right now. I'm just presuming , I don't think she actually is .

Someone who does not believe the Bible is the Word of God, from God, can NOT be a believer. Before Christ saved me, I was reading the Bible. It wasn't even that I did not believe it, so much as I did not understand it. Many times, people don't understand what they are reading, so they say it is because men wrote it.
As I read the Bible before I was saved, I had circles and question marks on every page. After God saved me, I began to re-read those pages. I realized it was all about Jesus! I had met the author of the book.
You can examine all the evidence and you will find the truth in every story, parable, moral and words of wisdom. The Bible is true. But, if you don't believe in Jesus, I could prove every page was true, and you still would not believe it was true, because you would not have met the author.
The Bible is not just about right and wrong, how to behave, although that is certainly there. Instead, it is the revelation of Jesus Christ, from start to end. If you read it you will find Jesus in every page. Someone who says the Bible is written by men, is certainly not seeing God's message to us - and that message is Jesus.
Once you have Jesus, you can study the Bible more. The Holy Spirit will lead you in all truth. The Holy Spirit comes and fills our hearts and lives, when God saves us. Without the Holy Spirit, you will have no truth, and a lot of error, like your friend.
In passing, I read the books of all the other religions before I was saved. I also deeply looked into them! They were all man-made! There was no inspiration from God. Just rules and regulations, and make your own way to God. Which I realized I would never be good enough to make it to God on my own.
Christianity is different! The Bible was not written by holy men, long dead and buried. Well, true, the prophets put down the actual words that God inspired them to write! Christianity is about the living God, risen and alive! And the Holy Spirit who was sent to us. And the Word of God that was left to lead and guide us!
No other religion has a living God and Saviour, a Holy Spirit who comforts, encourages and teaches us, and a true and inspired book, confirming who Jesus is, and that he came to save us from our sins! Do not doubt what you believe. Dig into the evidence, if it helps a bit. But mostly, draw closer to Jesus and he will show you his truth, and that the Bible is true, and inspired by God!

Do you believe the stuff about Y-shua being Messiah? I mean that is what the Bible tess us and it is a fantastic story.... A man posing as the G-d-Man died on the cross for the sins of the world, rose after three days and will come back.
If you believe this don't you have to believe it all? How can one pick and choose?
If you do not believe in Messiah as Lord and Savior we need to have a conversation!!!! But it says a senior member so I am assuming you do....
Anyone who believes the Bible is not the Word of God is not in Christ. The first chapter of Joh explains it all in just a few words.

God Proved Himself In His Word! When you study the Bible in the Original language and writing (which I have not) you can find many absolute proofs of Gods Perfection In His Word; just one irrefutable and evident proof is in the first 5 Books of Moses, The Torah; when you count every 50th letter beginning with the first, throughout the entire 5 books it spells Torah over and over and over without fail.. ONLY GOD Could Do That!
