Non-denominational?

2 Timothy 4:3
For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears

The question is, what "church" actually understands the Gospel? I haven't found one yet, am 55 years old and have been a member of the "church" since my earliest memories. Because the "church" doesn't understand nor teach the actual Gospel, could this explain why only one or two people have ever tried to "witness" to me about Christ? That's right . . . "christians" generally do not witness (though there are a rare few exceptions).

When "churches" begin to teach Spiritual Circumcision instead of being embarrassed by and avoiding that word, "Circumcision, the only denomination is Spiritual Blindness.

The question is, what "church" actually understands the Gospel?
People need to pay attention to this statement made here above ----

Because the people who preach in the Churches today ---most are not true Christians -----they use the word|Christian cause it sounds good ------that is it and are trying to teach a Spiritual Gospel with no knowledge of it's Spiritual meaning -----

There is only one person who can teach a true Christian the Spiritual truth behind the Words of the Scripture and that is the Holy Spirit -----who will guide you to know where to find the True Meaning behind the Scripture -----

For instance ----there has been all kinds of speculation on this Scripture -----from many so called Scholars ----but which on is the real truth behind the scripture ------with the Holy Spirit guiding one they can find the true Meaning -----

Matthew 19 NIV
The Rich and the Kingdom of God
16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?”

17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”

18 “Which ones?” he inquired.

Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother,’[c] and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’[d]”

20 “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?”

21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.

23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.

24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

I say
So this verse can be perplexing ------and there are many different takes on this verse by people who claim to be Scholars of the Bible ------

Many say that there is a gate in Jerusalem called the eye of the needed and in order to get through the small gate and the camel needs to be unpacked to be able to get through the narrow gate --but then many Scholars deny this claim -----Some people have used this scripture to say that the rich can't enter the Kingdom of God ----Some people have said that it means we are not have have material things ---we are to be poor in material things ----

But what is the real Spiritual meaning of this passage ---that is the question -------there can be many speculations made -----but there is a one Spiritual Meaning behind the Words ------ which in my view comes by way of the Holy Spirit ----not man

Until one is Born Again ---spiritual blindness will be in place -------and many preachers today --preach out of their Spiritual Blindness ------which is bad for the soul -----

Non-denominational?

2 Timothy 4:3
This verse has nothing to do with your title question.

Please explain WHY you are asking all these odd questions. Is this all for an assignment in a comparative religions class?

You might want to review your grammar. Here is what your statement actually says:

"When "churches" begin to teach Spiritual Circumcision, the only denomination is Spiritual Blindness."

I think it should be, "Until "churches" begin to teach Spiritual Circumcision, the only denomination is Spiritual Blindness."

My church teaches spiritual circumcision :)

My view ----
False Christianity has many denominations ------that is what happens when you have man made Religions pop up ------

True Christianity is based on a personal relationship with God ----no denomination required ---

Christianity is not, nor should be divided. Division is condemned in the bible, but unfortunately, it is, with many false doctrines propagated as a result thereof.

Hello Studentoftheword, what is your understanding of Born Again? thank you,
My View
Born Again ----By Faith-your old Sin Nature is regenerated supernaturally by God to a new Holy Nature to give the believer the ability to do God's will -----your Human Corrupted Spirit is Changed to an Incorruptible Holy Spirit so that you are able to have a personal relationship with God and be directed by His Spirit in your daily life and in understanding the Spiritual message behind His Word ------

Your Spiritual Blindness is lifted ------and your Spiritual understanding of God's word is enlightened by and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit -----

My church teaches spiritual circumcision :)
Really? Wow . . . I sure wish I could attend a church like that. The last church I attended for seven months, I left realizing that I did recall the "pastor" even mention the Holy Name of Jesus. Can you believe that? How can "you" be a pastor and not even mention Jesus's Name?

It is just unbelievable.

Division is for Christ to perform. What is good is to divide the wheat from the fodder. I wish that Christ would do that to the Church . . . wow, membership would shrink incredibly. See Scripture below:

Luke 12:51-53 NLT - "Do you think I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I have come to divide people against each other! From now on families will be split apart, three in favor of me, and two against--or two in favor and three against. 'Father will be divided against son and son against father; mother against daughter and daughter against mother; and mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.'"

It would be great if every christian believed the same thing, but each major church has foundermental beliefs. These doctrinal differences are what seperate the churchs.
I can not be a true Catholic and a true Baptist at the same time.

I suggest that you follow the doctrine of the Bible and join the church that follows the bible as the only source of truth.

Referencing post #15 . . . I meant to state that I did NOT hear that pastor mention the name of Jesus for seven straight months of attendance.

sigh

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
