I'm Christian i don't have anything against God. God is my best friend. I believe that Jesus died for all people's sin. I obey his commandments. I'm trying to be good, and i don't sin on purpose. And whenever i sin i always ask God to forgive me. What is next? I still live here on earth. And while i live here i have this desires, desire to eat, sexual desires, etc... I wish i didn't have them but i have them. When you are hungry you have desire to eat. And when you are sexually hungry you have desire to have sex(i don't see anything bad about it. As long as it's desires). I don't think that it's a sin to have these desires in your mind.

I know what your going through...without putting it all out there...I want to say that that stronghold is very hard to resist. But the only way you can be released from it is to confront it as sin that is holding you back. Ask Jesus to stop it...to remove it from your life...since at this time it is overwhelming to you. Sometimes we don't want to let go of the sin because we feel that we will loose the opportunity of gaining something that may be affiliated with it. In this case a fear of loosing may be a desired type of relationship, knowledge, or control... The Lord knows what you need to gain the peace and comfort you desire. You can trust that he will give it to you. It is up to you to decide what you want to do. You can learn what it is like to see it all differently.

This sexual desires are inspired by pictures of naked women. Not the real woman, but pictures. You just deceive your sexual feelings using pictures. And why do you think that's a sin?
it is a sin because it is unholy.

====== Sin can not be preformed without action. ======
Usually when someone looks at porn, you want to masturbate & that's sin because you are feeding your flesh & lusting for a woman/man (whether that woman is made up of many little pixels or not, those pixel form the image of that woman/man)

As Christians, we are to live righteous lives pleasing to god.
I personally think it is best to have the fruits of the spirit.
Galations 5:22“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and *SELF-CONTROL* Against such things there is no law
Self control is a keyword. & though MANY times it may be hard especially with this present age with the internet, we are to practice this self control. Too many are caught up in the moment, & want to please themselves. But we must surrender ourselves to the lord.
If you feel as though you are tempted by pornography, put all your problems on the Lord & he will give you strength.

Don't try to justify it, Pornography is a sin, & it is not healthy. Not only that but it is a waste of precious time. Instead of looking at porno, why don't you open your Bible? cmon man!

AMEN?!

God bless.

Why don't you say having sex (even with your wife) is a sin because you are feeding your flesh. Eating is sin because you are feeding your flesh. And so on...
And again I'm not trying to justify sin. I just want to find a text in the bible that says, Thinking, imagining, dreaming, or having sexual thoughts is a sin. Can anyone give me words from the Bible that causes you to think that having sexual thoughts is a sin?

And also, Why do people have kids in this sinful world?

Mark 7: 20-23 NLT
20. And then he added, "It is the thought-life that defiles you.
21. For from within, out of a person's heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder,
22. adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, eagerness for lustful pleasure, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness.
23. All these vile things come from within; they are what defile you and make you unacceptable to God."

There are many people out there that feel they were placed on this earth to raise children and place more people on this earth. I am an uncle, and even baby sitting for the day wears me out. I can't imagine all day, every day. Keep asking questions dude; seek and you will find.

That's good.
(NKJV)
2 Corinthians 10:5
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

First off, sex itself is not a sin. God created sex for a purpose, He also explained how it was meant to be shared. In marriage the two become one flesh. If I was married I think I could deffinatly pray during/before/after sex, give thanks, etc, I think it is a blessing from God when shared in the way He intended. That being said, I also think that sex between can also be sin when it becomes an idol for them and does not glorify God.

Lusting after a woman not your wife is a form of coveteousness, also idolatry..Coveteousness as in you desiring something that is not yours and idolatry in the sense of your mind being consumed over the person's body. When a husband and wife come together, the desire is not considered lusting imo because it is not done simply as a satisifying of the flesh but as an expression of love that God gave us to share in that context.

Now..why have kids in this sinful fallen world? Well, to make more worshippers of God. So that the breath God gives them may be returned to Him in praise. That should be the hope of Christians wanting to have children.

Back to the post I quoted, sin starts in the mind, when it is full blown it produces death. That is why we are supposed to control our thoughts, to stop sin before it is actuallized.

God Bless :)

god has sent the solution for everything that tries to beset us, in the spirit of his son. as we seek to walk by the spirit, we find christ jesus taking our thoughts into conformity with him. now it is clear that each of us is different, having different troubles and problems and sins, but the spirit is god in us, the hope of glory, and he is to us god, just for us, each one individually. he helps each one of us, as we each need. and he helps us through those around us who are his, in ways that are perfect and completely effective for what we need.

I am not sure if pornography is a sin or not.
But I still find it repulsive and vulgar.
What happens in the bedroom is between a married couple and not something that everyone should watch or make a profit on.

"do not love the world, nor the things in the world. if anyone loves the world, the love of the father is not in him. and all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the father, but is from the world."

what we do with our spouse is private, but if we need imagery from the world to enjoy our union with our spouse, then we are not enjoying our spouse, but instead using them. that these things are acceptable to our society should tell us what god thinks of them. god can heal anything, even this.

Hi,

I know the thread said, watching porn, but if you take it from the start, the actors themselves are promoting great sin, sex before marriage, orgies, all sorts, and usually in bad taste, is this something that as a Christian you really want to be watching.

Agreed, which is also why I think it is vulgar.
I love my wife, and what we do is between us.

i think the better question is: if jesus was with you, in the flesh, would you participate in it?

well, jesus is with, by his spirit. if one watches porn, he may not leave, but he will be very grieved by it.

Many people say that watching pornography is a sin. But, I don't understand what makes them think so. Bible doesn't say anything about virtuality. Reality is made by God and virtuality is made by people. Virtuality has completely different rules.

Matthew 5:27
You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to desire her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Here Jesus talks about an act “look”. In the original Greek, one of the meanings for the word Jesus uses for “look” is intentional and repeated gazing. So, if you look at a woman with lust it's a sin. But what about if you imagine or dream? It's not the same thing. Otherwise, why do people want to be married?
So, “look” and “dream” it's two diffident things. You can dream or wish about anything you want it's not going to change anything. We are people and before we make a choice we think first, we can think about good and bad it's part of our free will, but it's nothing while it's in our minds.
The reason why people think that watching pornography is a sin, is because it's new. Years ago my parents and my grand parents (and also many churches) thought that watching TV and listen to a music is a sin. But, now it's not a sin anymore.
In my opinion it's better to watch pornography than have real sex. You should think about consequences first and than about fun. But most of the people think only about fun. There are really bad consequences of sex. It's kids. I don't say that kids are bad, I say that having them is bad.
I think those people who have kids are foolish and selfish people who can't control their desires. Having kids is not a sin. However, Jesus never had them. Maybe it was a blessing to have kids before sin entered this world. But, now this world is cursed by God.
I don't want to bring sinful people into this sinful and cursed world. Why would I? This world doesn't deserve my child. I know that there are much more pain than joy in this world and I don't want my child to suffer in it. I don't want my child to grow up and say “Father, why you brought me into this sinful world? Why do I need all this problems?”
The commandments of Jesus are meant to help us. If you try get around them, then you will fall into the same trap as anybody else who disobeys them.

Yes, there are too much dirty and vulgar photos/videos that is nasty to see. Porn business is bad and dirty. But, i was actually talking about erotic photos of girls(a girl took sexy photo of herself, doesn't have to do anything with porn business)
