I know many have been...many still want to visit.

For those who have been:

Your favorite place and why?

I'm trying to put together a tour for my church and surrounding area churches.
I got a list from my last visit there that I did which was NOT part of a tour group. My wife and I just went and tramped about. Had a blast.
But being responsible for a group? Unless I give it my all...its gonna be a bust in my opinion....so I'm focusing.
Asking opinions and listening.

My most memorable place is the Tomb at the base of Golgotha.

It is hewn out of the rock. Inside there is a place carved out of the interior rock where the deceased is to be laid to rest on the right side. On the exterior there is a grooved place where an enormous rock may be placed in order to hold it in place and roll it to close the tomb.

It is amazing, and with any believer's knowledge, it is humbling. Praise our raised Savior, amen.

Huh....
I never went around to that side of the bus station. I didn't know there was anything else around there. (Its not difficult to muss stuff as everything is practically on top of everything else) Well, I knew it was Golgatha of old....its a natural crossroads which is why the bus terminal was built there.
A LOT of the central Jerusalem bus terminal is underground....carved out of the rock with all sorts of concrete columns supporting the roof. It's cheap to get a bus anywhere....$11-$14 from one end of Israel to the other. You can't buy lunch there for that.
You can get stuffed to the gills for $11 in Europe though....the food in Europe was cheap....good though.

But thank you for the idea. People might want to see that.

So far....
I've got

Day 1
Haifa/mt Carmel, Elijah's cave, and Sepphoris (where Jesus & family worked)

Day 2
Pan's Grotto (upon this rock)
Capernaum (Jesus's Air B&B Peter's house)
Yardenit (israelites crossed Jordan into promised land & Jesus's Baptism site)

Day 3
Jerusalem/Old City and Walls
Tomb of Holy Sepulchre (Joseph's tomb Jesus borrowed for 3 days)

Day 4
Hezekiahs tunnel/pool of Siloam
Shrine of the Book (excavated historical artifacts)

Day 5
En Gedi (David and Saul)
Dead Sea (Essenes/John Baptist temp home)

So far....its a fairly full schedule. EnGedi got trashed due to a flash flood. (Go figure eh? LoL) so there might be some room on that day. Masada? I just really don't care. Yam Suph? (Red sea/sea of Reeds) Maybe....we got a bus. They got a trail too. Dunno how walking it is gonna work. Maybe add a day to add more stuff....but we are old geezers mostly. Yes, we can hike and walk some but day after day we get tired.
