My double ex was from East Texas, and she said that's the strongest southern accent. Having heard her kin that lives there, I had to agree.

Second, I think it's a complete tragedy when people get made fun of for their accents. :( I understand maybe poking fun at friends for the way different things are pronounced different ways, but for example, Southerners who feel they have to erase their accents - it should be a crime. :(

To be fair, I sometimes have broken English lol my folks taught us our native tongue and their English is not to great, but understandable:)

Same thing with me. My parents, especially my mother, did not speak much English, but insisted on teaching me ‘English’ as well. 😁
 
Southern accents can even vary. Different states can have different variations on the accent.

NZ accents sound like a combination of the best parts of British and Aussie without the negatives. So nice to hear.

Arcadians played a large part in the development for the Cajun culture. I believe the word Cajun comes from Arcadian who where French Canadian who moved to the south mostly Louisiana.
 
I won't lie, after seeing the movie "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" (highly recommended), I can't hear a Kiwi accent and not want to laugh. I watched Thor: Ragnarok the other day, and when I heard Korg for the first time, I knew he was going to be a hilarious character.

point in time.
 
I like to use Irish, Russian, or Australian accents sometimes. I usually do a rez accent when i'm talking to rez NDNs.
