@legion I must applaud you for having the courage to post such a heartfelt Thread. I'm twice a widow and have 'been around the block' a few times and find it sad to see some people on here that look like they may never get married. If that's what they want fine, but to put down someone who desires to find a potential life partner is puzzling. I don't find your Thread offensive at all and I see your thinking on pig bbqs, lol. God bless you and if I was younger and looking, I wouldn't be wasting any time in chatting with you. Hang in there don't let anyone dissuade you, you pursue your dream and I pray to God you find the right one for you soon, IJNA🙏🙌💕

no technically it was the title the evil spirit gave to all the demons it was a part of. it is a roman military term.

However, I sell smoked ribs I have a side hustle selling ribs. I think using the Legion/demon/swine cast out by Jesus and being smoked is brilliant advertising and extremely funny. I would agree it's dark humor. But what i will tell you is this. I couldn't care less if you don't find it funny or in good taste. I don't live my life based on other people's feelings or preferences... You seem to be implying something with your comments. I actually prefer those who believe there is something sinister to believe that. It keeps me from having to deal with low IQs.

What i would suggest is that you learn the lesson usually taught in childhood which is: Let people be who they are. So while i am certainly not a saint, I also am not the literal Legion. I am a human not unlike you who is walking a path.

Oh yeah you're in front of the line if you are either law enforcement or a martial arts instructor or a seasoned psychiatric doctor or in some way are moderate to hard-headed who has no problem making their view known

Probably for much the same reason that some men try to research angels and demons. Between all three groups, angels, demons and women, there are some remarkable similarities.

In all three groups there are some members who want to influence men.

Some men believed that members of these three groups have just sooooo much more influence than they actually do.

With two of these groups, some of their members will take all the control and influence a man will allow them to have. (A true angel would never do this of course.)

Some men try to research all three of these groups because they feel like if they understand they can more easily control.

Researching is hopeless in this case for all three groups. Men can never hope to understand, much less exert control over any of them.

Some men actually understand this about all three groups, but keep trying to research them anyway because it's all they know to do. :geek:

Some men try though. (You recently met one of them on this very forum.) And some women try. And I try to avoid all of them.

Also, oh yeah! I never mentioned on the Forum that I was taking a vacation. Sorry y'all. I'm still alive and doing fine. Also much more rested now.

Are you referring to the Stoic? That is precisely why I stopped watching videos on Stoicism. Based on the videos that I saw, I had to conclude that they were into psychologically manipulating women, and that is not a practice that I would ever want to embrace.​

Oh him? No I was talking about JohnDB.

It's pretty safe for me to talk about it though. Ostensibly he has me on ignore. I can't prove he takes me off ignore just to see what I am saying occasionally, but he claims he has me on ignore. So I'm just assuming he really does, mostly because it's so much more fun that way.

I don't think that I have interacted with him yet or even read any of his posts. Here is an example of what I was referring to about Stoicism. I hope that nobody actually watches this video. The title alone says it all, and there is no way to reconcile that sort of psychological manipulation with the mind of Christ.

I just put him on ignore. They say that you don't get a second chance to make a first impression, and my first impression of him is that he's either nuts or just a troublemaker. I have no time for either. You are two for two with your "prophecies."
 
I should add that I really don't like to speak evil of people, and I certainly do not wish to negatively sway anybody else's opinions towards other posters here. I apologize if any of my comments suggested otherwise. At my own end, I definitely need to avoid engaging in certain types of discussions which are known to be futile and fruitless. I truly am sorry if I bad-mouthed anybody who might be somebody else's friend.​

Actually you did post on that thread I was thinking about. I was just wrong about who you were apparently talking to. I thought your post was a reply to his most recent post before yours.

Exactly, but I don't think that anybody got it. When I was in high school, I did a report on Chang and Eng, the Siamese twins in that photo. As I thought on that thread's title, "How long have you been single?," I remembered that photo from my report and the looks on their faces. It was intended to say "What?" in response to that question.​
