The feasts of the Lord in Leviticus 23 teach of Christ. The first three feasts were:-
Day 1. Passover - Jesus Died
Day 2. Unleavened Bread - Jesus in Grave
Day 3. Firstfruits - Jesus Rose
If you read these feasts in Leviticus 23 you will see the first three feasts were on days next to each other.
1 Corinthians 5:7 KJV
(7) Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
Matthew 26:26 KJV
(26) And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
1 Corinthians 15:23 KJV
(23) But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
You know...it has been almost 2 full days since Jesus spoke the following...
John 2:18-23King James Version (KJV)
18 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21 But he spake of the temple of his body.
22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.
He also said...
John 6:62-64King James Version (KJV)
62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
The temple of His body was His blood, where the life is in. We must surely accept that there are two perspectives separate from one another, separate meanings of the same words...one is according to the flesh, and one is according to the spiritual perspective. His perspective being taught is Spirit and life. I am convinced that the soul is the life in the blood. We have white and red blood cells according to science (which I personally look for parables in science). The blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is not only physically different according to the flesh from those not in Christ, but His blood also has buying power according to the Spirit, and which is unlimited.
We are also the temple of His body when we have the Holy Spirit with us, and in us, and working through us. If we are truly circumcised at heart, and worship in spirit and in truth, then the flesh/earthen vessel of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, His flesh and His bones, will be visibly shining like a city on a hill.
Genesis 17:12-14King James Version (KJV)
12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.
13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.
So...the evening arrives before the morning, and...we are not even 30 years away from the beginning of the third day since Jesus started that "timer/alarm". He started it, but The Father knows the day and hour, so I assume He set the alarm and gave it to His son.
2 Peter 3:7-9King James Version (KJV)
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
From my personal perspective...a game that edifies the body of Christ in a way which I still cannot fully picture in my minds eye, which was given this close to the evening of the third day, and can be seen from outer space if enough people were involved...to me that seems a little bit like three witnesses. Shall I give credentials and become a fool in glorying? I fasted in a valley 40 days and nights with God drinking water only from a creek and from Him...3 1/2 days without water on a 14 day fast...and it rained for me. Raised an evangelist...started playing music at 7 years old in the church, etc.
Not all that glorious really compared to other disciples, but we ought not to compare ourselves anyways.
I just wrote a song, and at the end of the third verse the lyrics read...
Morning Star, will there be dawn this evening in the night?
Revelation 22:14-17King James Version (KJV)
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
The game I introduced is free, so anyone care to let me know what they think I should do with it? Just let me know in the post entitled..."The Power of God".
Thank You,
Jonathan David Winters
