His 'sources' has nothing to do with his arguments. He posts something says that using wild yeast for making wine is not a good idea and could produce any usable product (because it would taste so bad) and then OUT OF NO WHERE says this means that wine does not always ferment.
 
Why would Jesus provide a means for people to get drunk? When God spends a lot of His time delivering people from Alcohol. I meant, these people had been drinking all day at the party and the host were ashamed when the wine ran out. How many bottles do you provide at a party? A Keg maybe or a case of 90 proof. Can you drink them all day without passing out? Or seeing the world turn and puking your guts out?. Clearly this was grape juice and nothing more.

6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.


This is between 20 and 30 gallons each, If you take the 20 and six water pots. That is 120 gallons of wine. dude, they would have been swinging from the rafters and puking on each other.
 
I meant if you had 120 people at the party, that's a gallon of wine each and if you had 240 people at the party that's a 1\2 gallon each and all this after they had drank up all the wine they had to start with. It was grape juice or they would have been wearing lampshades on their heads and gambling for keys.

Otherwise, I would say being drunk is being out of control to the point that you do things you definitely would not otherwise do. Like Lot.

NOBODY on this thread has advocated getting drunk. A few glasses of wine on occasion, however, is not sinful behavior. Personally, I prefer Guinness.

I saw a pic of Jesus drinking Budweiser the other day, allegedly taken by one of the Apostles. I think it was phony, though. I suspect Jesus drank Guinness, although there is no biblical evidence that He drank anything other than wine (alcoholic beverage).

Then sadly you only condemn yourself, for you do the very same things as these hypocrites do, by you yourself a hypocrite publisher to this book. You think you are pretty smart to recognize all of us who have posted and read all of our reply to generalize hypocrites?

If you are truly not a hypocrite, you would not at all participate in this tread of hypocrites. Since you did, you are one like us, in you own ways of Christianity, who uses the 'pattern of this world' terms, such as 'dude' and so you are 'cool'.

It is a reminder and a stir up of memory for hypocrites that;

Well for one, where are you getting their drinking all day?

And two - people drank watered down wine. People in the ancient world drank all the time.

Freshly squeezed grape juice is what Jesus made. In Scripture we seen freshly squeezed juice from the cluster of the grapes put into a cup. You know, sort of like freshly squeezed orange juice.

Your article is talking about what happens today.

We are more interested in what happened thousands of years ago, in biblical times.

The technology for inoculated fermentation (cultured yeast) did not exist thousands of years ago.

The word "failed" in your quote does not meant the wine didn't ferment. It means the wine tasted like crap.

Some winemakers today produce what is advertised as "organic" wine produced via wild yeast.

Your article is pointing out that you are more likely to end up with a bad batch (taste-wise) of wine if you rely on wild yeast fermentation.

Everybody knows that.

Except you, apparently.

Ive heard this throughout the thread--that there was no grape juice until Welch's...But as SOON AS you squeeze the grapes, even back on those times, the product comes out as pure grape juice, no? It doesn't get squeezed out as wine, lol.

Even if Jesus did (which He didn't), and the wedding feast lasted for a week, fermentation would occur.

Of course, they could have boiled all that grape juice and made a syrup. Of course, that would have tasted better than the first wine. And dogs don't bark.
