Okay, you want to continue? as you wish.
"It's fine you don't agree my responses, I don't agree with yours. I've shown even more Scripture than you did."-Cee
Job 38 is not only relevant to Romans 9, it is relevant throughout all of scripture. Job 38 shows that God's ways are higher than ours and God is sovereign. Romans 9, also shows us that God's ways are higher than ours and obviously He is sovereign, so why do you stop there? What was the the point of Romans 9? why use Romans 9 at all? we can show God is sovereign and His ways are higher than ours from any book of the bible. Why not simply quote Job? So why Romans 9? because it had a sentence she could take out of context to validate HER message.
You say you quoted more scripture but in reality you aren't even addressing the scripture thats already been posted, you aren't even giving a credible witness to the scripture you quote.
Read the context of Exodus
13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.
15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
You claim this statement was only made to say "I Am God, I will do what I want."
Here is scripture that shows it was far more than that.
John 8
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
God says I AM is His name forever, and Jesus is quoting from Exodus 3 and the Jews understood His reference (hence the stones)
1. Joyce is not here. There is nothing good being done by calling her a false teacher. At all. Just because you don't like her teachings doesn't mean she is false, in fact maybe you are the one who is false. Would you like people saying this about you?
It is a warning to our brothers and sisters but especially to those who seek. She preaches a self serving gospel and it lacks all of the things the gospel is based upon. Show me one example of her saying we need to repent of our sins. That is simple enought right? Jesus, Paul, John the baptist, Peter. All of them preached that, repenting and the cleansing of Jesus blood is the majority of the gospel after all.
Joyce is teaching "God made you, He doesn't make mistakes, love yourself exactly the way you are exactly where you are. Be who you are boldly." Joel Osteen says it like this "I say, wear your blessings well" There is truth in the beginning of Joyce' message, God did make me, He doesn't make mistakes, but the underlying message removes the fear of God. I am fine, my life is fine, again where is repentance?
2. You are not Paul. You are not the Spiritual father of this forum, you don't know the people here personally, you haven't wept or rejoiced with them, you have not earned a place in their life to speak into them. You are not the only who knows the Holy Spirit. You are not the only one who can read the Bible.
I am not Paul and I'm not trying to be anyones father. I do know some people here personally though, in real life and in time I've spent here. Where do I need to earn my right to share messages? to talk about the gospel and in some cases open eyes as well as learn from others, isn't this the purpose of CC?
I am not the only one who knows the Holy Spirit, I'm not arguing with that. I am not the only one who can read the bible, you are correct, even satan knows the scripture front and back.
3. Paul said to avoid people like you. You are using Paul's words, but they come back at you because he said to avoid people who cause divisions. People who cause arguments. People who think themselves higher than anyone else. People who judge other people's servants. Even if you were the stronger Christian, you are told to not cause weaker Christians to stumble.
Funny you would mention that. What does Paul actually teach?
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
He said avoid those who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine we have learned. Those ARE the prosperity teachers. They don't teach repentance, they teach you can live your best life now. God wants us to prosper and we should wear our blessings well, these same teachers live like rockstars, 60 million dollar jets, the list goes on and on. We will know them by their fruits. I am not trying to teach or spread anything other than the gospel of Christ, I have no ulterior motives.
4. And before you use Timothy's Scripture that you think gives you authority to rebuke and reproof, it doesn't, you are not an overseer to anyone's souls here. This is a forum of believers, stop seeing yourself as powerful and right, and everyone else as not. This is pride.
why shouldn't I use 2 timothy? Suddenly now I have to dismiss the teachings of the bible because I'm not Paul?
it's funny, you say I shouldn't rebuke, and you say it while rebuking me lol
I am not perfect (far from it indeed) but it doesn't take perfection to see the wiles of the devil. The flesh is weak but the spirit is willing.
So I leave you with this. Can you show me Joel Osteen or Joyce Meyers teaching repentance of sins?
