I know people who get their clothes out of the trash. Whatever will keep them clad, they accept. I do not know the circumstances of the person. Yeshua always showed His love and mercy. He is the Example for us all.

i think you are using the word 'example' too lightly. If the world just acts like Christians act, they will still go to Hell. It is not about acting how we act, but believing what we believe.
That is the difference between 'example' and 'testimony'.
Legalism is the other side of this, and i don't think you are on that side, so the disagreement is probably just over terms.

that man had an spirit of error but cobus was right in his insight looking from the outside perspective , that man needed to be helped rather than done away with we understand the crime but lets look at it in the statures that christ had laid then if the man did not repent then it wold have been wrong . i have much experience in helping the prophets and know much to help as God has been my teacher . but lets go accordingly to scripture and judge accordingly and maybe there was more to that story than what was told without actually being there it is but pure speculation we are perceiving....

It depends on how long the man had been a Christian. If he was an elder in the Church, then he should have been sent out. If he was new, then he was committing blaspheme in ignorance, and should have been corrected first.
If anyone spurns correction, should they be allowed to stay with such a destructive behavior?
If he had said that to a weak woman, perhaps she would have believed him, and caused her to sin! The action sounds like Jezebel from the letters in Revelation. A wolf in sheeps clothing.
"That man" probably has learned much more by being asked to leave until he repents. All of the proceedings concerning this event seem to be totally in line with the Word. The action taken is the best for "that man's" salvation, that is pointing him to repentence.

where in the Bible are we called to be an 'example' to the world? we are called to bear witness, which requires deeds, but is focused on what we believe, not on what we are doing. works don't save us. belief in Christ does.
I didn't judge. I simply stated the truth. If anyone misunderstood, I am happy to explain, but I don't need unwarranted accusations.
Do you think the people in the church that smoke, swear and lie, are less of a sinner than THE MAN? If they are not Saints, they should not throw stones....
It is a HYPOCRATE that blames one man for adultery or breakin up marriages, and then he is a false teacher, or a lier or a swearer... HYPOCRATE....
Jesus had the EXACT same situation.... A woman was going to be stoned and the accusers asked Him whether they should stone her, and He said... let the one without sin cast the first stone.... So are you ready to throw the firts stone on this man? ....
If you do it with this man, at least d oit with ALL sinners...

the Church is the only place where Christians should be dealing with sin. There is no use rebuking an unsaved person. They need Jesus, not just to be corrected.
in the scripture we are the salt of the earth and we are the light of the world we are to be examples to lead people into christ it is a reality . i am sorry if i offended you or acused you as i strive to be in proper composure brother but we are to be prime examples of christ to lead people to salvation ...
LT again the church you attend and the church God maintains has two opposite duties. God's church comes together to worship, be build up and to receive blessings.
The church of God is an assembly of SAINTS... not sinners SAINTS... It is where God's HOLY PEOPLE gather... they are Holy becasue they sinneth NOT.
They are not there to get their sins forgiven, they are there to praise God for the GLORY they live in. That GLORY is the holiness God MAINTAINS in them....
Oh my young friend chrsitians should adress sin every second and every day everywhere... God says ALL the time until you are completely SANCTIFIED... in HOLINESS... Then He will implant His SEED in you and seal you in holiness to be ALSO PART OF HIS CHURCH.... the church without spot or wrinkle...
This church.... That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Thank you. I shouldn't have gotten offended, that was weak of me.
I do agree that our works are an 'example' of what Christ has done for us and through us. However I don't agree with Dominion theology, which is why I was defining terms so much. If you look up Dominion theology/Kingdom Now theology then you might understand why I was being so specific.

When I was in youth group, a woman about my age was asked to leave when it became clear she was pregnant and not married. I don't know if it was the only reason - for all I know, she had private meetings with the elders and spent the entire time blaspheming. Or, maybe she had repented and it wasn't good enough for them. Or, she was raped.
Everything was so secretive, so we were left with the obvious: kid out of wedlock = expulsion. Sex out of wedlock? A number were still doing that. It did not feel like it was handled well.

It sounds like your focus is on sin.
I will not be controlled by sin, but by the love of Christ.
Here is the thing about the Church of God..... HE is in CONTROL, the ones that will be kicked out will be kicked out BY HIM...
I am ALL for keeping the church HOLY AND PERFECT AND WITHOUT SPOT OR WRINKLE... but that is THE PERFECT CHURCH OF GOD.... Let GOD MAINTAIN IT IN HIS SPIRIT... not in sinners accusing other sinners....

hummm one time i ran 5 miles before church i didn't have time to go back and shower so i just ran to the church an pastor made me sit in the back because i was smelly, covered in sweat, and panting like a dog lol
