Yeah. Actually, in the small town that I live there are not a whole lot of options when it comes to buying groceries. The thing is, I enjoy shopping there.
Can you live in the Walmart? Who's the competition?
Is it true Kmart went under in the US?

Yeah, K-Mart is completely gone. I used to shop there back in the day.

No, I don't actually live in Walmart, but I do shop there often. Only other grocery store is a Shop-N- Save. They stock weird brands that I never heard of and their prices cannot compare with Walmart.

Need a Kroger's or an Aidi here but that's probably not going to happen.

Duopoly?
Here we have Pak n' Save and Woolworths.
Pak n'Save is cheapest and NZ owned. Woolworths is...owned by the mega rich Woolworths family, and they get a lot of their foodstuffs from Australia.
But being Chinese, shop at markets and we have our own Chinese/Asian supermarkets with fresher produce and obviously ingredients from China/Asia.

K-mart is Aussie owned but gives the Warehouse and Farmers a run for their money. K-mart has good quality and cheap goods, though they don't do grocery, they often have confectionery.

Before K-Mart faded out in the States, they started to stock groceries. Didn't work out for various reasons.

I'm sure the K stands for something in K-Mart but have forgotten what it was.
Koala mart? Kangaroo Mart?

The K stands for the last name of the founder - Kresge. There was actually a Kresge store where I lived outside of Detroit. Quaint little place - sold a bunch of knick-knacks, roasted peanuts and had a soda fountain. Kresge evolved into K-Mart. Don't believe the Kresge store still exists.

Funny thing is - I was never on twitter.
Twitter was supposed to be for witty people to tweet things. I don't think it is anymore, well it's not, it's changed to X.

You had a thought and tweeted it to the world, and it was like people heard it through the grapevine, except it was all online.

Wattie's canned Pumpkin soup or creamy sweetcorn soup chinese style are the best ones.
We don't have Campbell's soups here. it would have been in competition with Watties, but now...I heard that Watties is cutting staff and there will no longer be making Watties tomato sauce! (ketchup to you) What is the world coming to???

Never been on Twitter which is now called X. Don't have a Facebook account either. Just my account on CC.

NOOO

Time to stockpile tomato sauce? Will global supply of tomatoes run out? Why is it, that I try to grow them, never works, but when I throw some tomatoes outside they just spring up in cracks in the pavement?

I now have to check our canned goods to see if there is any tomato sauce. I love tomato's, fresh or otherwise.
