I had bolognaise last night, with Leggo's tomato bolognaise sauce.
I chopped up onions, capsicums, 2 cloves of garlic, some mushrooms, and put in a beef oxo cube, and some chilli sauce. I was prepping. I opened a jar of Leggo's.
Then my sister who was cooking browned the beef mince and cooked it all together in a wok. We had it with rice.
We did have whole, somewhat fresh tomatoes from the supermarket, but am saving them for sandwiches and crackers, cos if you cook them you have to remove the skins first, and that's not an easy thing to do. If you freeze them, then put hot water over them, it's easier.
Its best to have tomatoes on the vine, and preferably sun ripened, in season they are so good, taste totally different to hot house tomatoes, which tend to be watery and bland.
