I was not into them but for me Boyz II Men were the bomb. If there ever was a song on repeat during the late 80's/early 90s it was 'The end of the Road' and they were so old school romantic 'On bended knee' or 'I'll make love to you' that you wondered if their harmonies would be in heaven.
I have just learned Boyz II Men will be playing in my town in December. I'm guessing a lot of ladies will go to that one.

Why go to a concert? Just buy a recording and listen to the music without all the background noise. It's cheaper and last longer.
ha where can I buy a recording? I think only JB Hi-fi sells records and CD's (not tapes) I remember I had the tape with the paper insert.
The concert is so I can SEE the Boyz!! In person! With other fans! LIVE and in the flesh.
Not just hear them. And they aren't just music, they are voices. Like a harmony. Have you ever heard them???? They ain't no lip-synchers
I wasn't a fan. But I've heard many of the Boy Bands are making a resurgence.
If The Rolling Stones and KISS can still sell tickets, why not younger bands?
Though an 80 year old man singing, ...if you start me up, I'll never stop, is a little cringy.
What kills me is that all these bands like The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith are still singing away...
But every singer I grew up hearing -- way after these older bands -- are all dead.
Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Prince... Even when I look up bands from "my" time -- Survivor, INXS, and so many others -- several of their main members, and almost all their lead singers -- gone.
But yet, so many singers from the 60's and 70's are still alive.
I read an interview with Madonna saying that while she was known for doing unconventional things throughout her career, these days, the most unconventional thing she's doing is staying alive -- and I would have to agree.
I saw a clip of one of her "new" concert shows.
She's 70? Or so,and is still trying to compete with grotesque concert styles of women performers who are 40+ years younger.
A grandma feinging sex acts is grotesque.
Madonna use to hate attention off stage. Now she's going to ridiculous lengths to get dny at all.
I saw her "Oh Father" video as a kid (re-enacting her childhood and the death of her mother when she was, I think around 8?) In the video, the little girl playing her gets close enough to her mother's corpse to see the stitches holding her lips closed. I can't imagine how traumatizing that must have been for a child.
I had a church mentor who taught me to pray for famous people, and I have prayed for Madonna throughout my life.
But I actually felt in recent times... that God told me to stop praying for her, and to choose others for my prayer list.
It broke my heart (to think there is no hope for her,) because there are certain things about her that I could relate to.
Now of course, I surely can't judge her possibility of salvation because only God knows -- but oh my goodness, it's depressing to see what she's resorted to in her older years.
She could have chosen to be an example of elegance and grace in older age, but the fact that she keeps trying to act like she's still 25 just saddens me.
I asked my friend if she wanted to go she says she'd loved to, but ...don't have any money :-(

I wonder if I can win a ticket...? Then I'd be like Charlie in the Chocolate Factory.
Speaking of which, does anyone remember...C&C Music Factory? Wonder where they are now.

I saw a video in recent months of a young singer, and it was said that he was the son of one of the Boyz II Men.
He is just as vocally gifted and harmonizes as his dad.
It's truly a shame that this type of music fell out of favor.
I listened to a social commentary channel saying that in those days, guys didn't have to express their feelings to their girlfriends/wives because they could just play a Boyz II Men song and it said it all.
I did like some of their songs, but their image was tarnished a bit in my home turf when they came to play near my college.
I didn't go, but it came out on the news the next day that they had been an hour late -- because they were shopping downtown.
And they didn't compensate the paying attendees in any way, not even staying an hour later to make up for the fans' loss.
I didn't have any interest in trying to see them after that.
