Lol!

I think of blue cheese the same way as you think of ranch dressing -- they're BOTH scourges, as far as I'm concerned. :LOL:

Blue cheese may or may not have been omitted in the hopes that people would forget it exists. :cool:
So, you don't like cheese with things growing in it?:giggle::giggle::giggle:

* Mustard
Mostly on sausages. Finnish mustard. Or a homemade one.

* Ketchup
If I have no mayo, then this will go with the fries, just needs a lot of grinded black pepper mixed in.

* Grey Poupon (gourmet mustard)
A what? Never heard..

* Ranch Dressing (It's a scourge, I'm telling you!)
Never tasted, dunno...,

* Pickle Relish
Relish? Homemade! On pizza yes.. I am weird I know.

* Soy Sauce
Yep, it has it place on some things and recepies.

* Hot Sauce
Not so much. Chili oil more likely.

* BBQ Sauce
No, no no. Especially burger is ruined with this.

* Mayonnaise
Absolutely yes, this can go to almost everything! Burger needs to have mayo, a LOT! Fries with mayo, yum. Paprika mayo, jalapeno-garlic mayo, garlic mayo.... yes. Hellmanns and kewpie are the best.

* Cream Cheese
Too bland.

* Sour Cream
If this is similar to ours, then as a crisp dip, seasoned with a dip powder/mix of course. (dip powder, mix, dry mix.. or what do you call it in there..?)

* Salsa
Yeah, occasionally.

* Vinegar
Nice fresher of dishes in moderation.

* Aioli
Yes!

* Wasabi
Small amount here and there yes.

Okonomiyaki sauce, which I do put on top of many things.
Balsamic vinegar, crisps with this taste were so good... until the company made the crisps thicker, which I don't like..

theres no guarantee you will get good fish and chips here these days,but when you do its worth the wait.

we still have one around here, my svelte Dr. doesn't doesn't want me eating things boiled in oil.:(:confused::giggle:

I knew a kid at my elementary school who ate ketchup on brownies, icecream, and fruit. To him, yes...in fact he'd put ketchup on ketchup lol

I hate ketchup on anything, unless its on a burger with mayo, mustard, pickles and lettuce. Im kind of a picky eater ;p

The first thing that my grandson's best friend always asked for when he ate dinner with us was ketchup. He put it on everything that he ate. Mama removed the ketchup from the kitchen and dining room and he learned to eat and taste real food. His mother couldn't believe the change.

A cousin of mine used to eat ketchup sandwiches. I thought that was a bit odd, but then I liked sandwich spread as a solo filler, which was basically just a mayo-like cream mixed with relish. Sandwich spread contained spirit vinegar, sugar, cabbage (contains preservative - sulphites), rapeseed oil (now known as canola), water, carrots, gherkins (contain firming agent - calcium chloride), modified cornflour, salt, onions, egg yolks, red peppers, mMustard, stabilisers - guar gum and xanthan gum, spice extracts, spices, herb extract (contains celery), flavourings, colour - riboflavin, VEGETABLES 35%. <= vegetable, 35%, see? That means it was a good food choice LOL.

Now I like Sriracha sauce. I am much like that old lady who says, "I put that *bleep* on everything."

Amazon Huy Fong, Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce, 9 Ounce Bottle $17.35

Walmart Huy Fong, Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce, 28 Ounce Bottle $5.97

Why would anyone buy from Amazon???

Mustard
In potato salad, pasta salad, I like a sweet and hot mustard; also on a hot dog or BBQ burger

* Ketchup
Absolute must with vinegar on fries of any type, including potato wedgies. A little with grilled cheese also.

* Grey Poupon (gourmet mustard)
Eh?

* Ranch Dressing (It's a scourge, I'm telling you!)
Yes, I do like this dressing

* Pickle Relish
Yes, again on BBQ hot dog, of course that could be a smokie and not a typical dog-dog

* Soy Sauce
On Asian food, especially sushi, yes!

* Hot Sauce
Yes. Sriracha, Yum. A little goes a long way.

* BBQ Sauce
Yuck. No. Just no.

* Mayonnaise
Absolutely yes, this can go to almost everything! Yes, I agree

* Cream Cheese
Too calorie and fat laden to consume as a staple.

* Sour Cream
Yes, please. Calories and fat content... what about them???

* Salsa
Yes please. With sour cream and chips, this can be a meal.

* Vinegar
An absolute must on fries and potato wedges.

* Aioli
I just add garlic powder. Sauces go bad in my fridge if I don't use them up in a timely manner...

* Wasabi
No.

What is that dip that comes with yam tempura? Really like that also...

I looked it up. It is is tentsuyu, a traditional Japanese dipping sauce made from dashi, mirin, and soy sauce.

I wouldn't buy that stuff from anywhere. Some people near the factory where it's made filed a lawsuit because they were getting sick.

Sriracha sauce? Oh. Why do you think that is? Sriracha's main ingredients are chili peppers, garlic,
distilled vinegar, sugar, and salt. Some recipes and brands may also include preservatives like
potassium sorbate and sodium bisulfite, or thickeners like xanthan gum for a consistent texture.

Chili pepper in the air.

On the one hand I agree with this one guy who said "I like my food to taste like what it is. If you put mustard and relish and horseradish sauce on everything, it all tastes the same." I can see that.

On the other hand, what would food be without seasonings? Should we ban garlic? dill weed? basil? What about salt? "If you dump a lot of salt in everything, it all tastes the same - salty." Where do you draw the line if you want your food to taste like what it is?

I think there is a place for almost every sauce. In moderation. Recipes are just experiments that we wrote down so we can make that experiment again. If we want a certain condiment as part of that taste experience, we should use it because we like it. If someone doesn't like that particular condiment on that particular food, let him not use it.

Peanut Butter should be a condiment, lol.
Wait, it's not?

I have for many years put peanut butter on my eggs. Sometimes I put sour cream and salsa on them instead. Sometimes a bit of mayo and mustard. Just depends what I'm in the mood for. But yeah, various nut butters can be used as condiments for some things.

Ever put some cashew butter on your pancakes? Delicious! And tahini would go well on a burger. Don't tell me it wouldn't.

I also experiment quite a bit with eggs... Mayo, spicy garlic oil, and green onion is pretty good. I've also put mayo, bacon, and furikake, it was really yummy! Sour cream, salsa is a classic! though, I add cheddar as well. Peanut butter, I've never heard of. If you added some siracha and sesame oil/soy sauce to the peanut butter and mix them it would be kind of like pad thai...though with eggs that still sounds possibly too adventurous for me.

What is peanut butter like on eggs?
