I figured this would be the best place for this thread, hope Im right.

But, anywho. Ive been thinking about Palestine lately, I have learned a /little/ about it myself, but figured it would be cool to hear from people who know more about it than I do, who wouldnt try to convince me that it was a real thing at one time to push their agenda of defending the destruction of Israel :/

But, from what I have learned, it was never actually a /real/ place, but the name comes from the Roman Empire. When Rome conquered Judea, the renamed the land Palestine, which actually just means "land of the Philistines", which was a reference to the neighboring nation of Israel, who was not a friend to the Israeli people. I guess it was like a way to stick it to the people of Israel? And then when Britain took power over Israel, they, for some reason, decided to rename it what the Roman Empire had named it once more.
And stories of the Jewish people discriminating the Palestinian people are exaggerated, Ive heard. Like, when in the early 1900s, Israel was desolate, so the Jewish people began working hard to make the land good again. And they ended up buying the land from many muslim people for a high priced, and these muslim people actually willingly sold their land, and moved entirely of their own will. But, this has been turned into some story of how the Jews "forced" the palestian people from "their" land?

I also have heard that many Islamic nations call themselves the real palestine, and Ive heard there are even islamic spokesmen who are coming out and admitting that it was never an actual real place, but merely is a word for the collective islamic people and their ideals as a whole.

I dont know much about it, but am interested on learning more.
(I feel like my opener is weak, but its 3am, and I have to get up for work, so am pretty tired :p)

Palestinians are mainly Arabs. Some from Prussia. Iran. They are not allowed many privileges and liberties that you and I have in our country.
Part of their demise stems from those who rule over them. And those who fund those ruling powers.

It's just a mess over there.

As you have read and have written so it is.

There has never been a nation called Palestine, but only a territory ruled by various empires. There almost was a Palestine when the British decided to partition and grant independence to Israel and Palestine. Israel accepted these terms, but it is the muslims whom themselves rejected Palestine's existence and made war upon Israel and were defeated. Today there are many that still seek to divide Israel. Yea even America has turned aside to corruption and to shamefully double-deal and try to divide the land. Behold, the nations will soon be gathered together to the valley of judgment.

All I know is that they are squatters and will be ejected dia death from the land when the Lion of the Tribe of Judah (Jesus) comes to rule on the throne of David!

Do the majority of muslim people really believe there is a nation of Palestine? Do they have anything at all to back up the idea that it was once real?

No and if you want to see what happens to them (the Palestinians) read Isaiah 14:29-32......the 4 cities listed in Gaza are currently controlled by the Palestinians and the one city held by Israel is not listed.....God's aim is perfect!

The land originally drawn up for the Palestinians by the UN is called Jordan. Israel was to be a land where the Jews could call home after the Holocaust. The Arabs have about 600 times more land than the Jews...that is where the 'Palestinian Arabs should go and leave Israel in peace.
Rather the Palestinians are being used by pawns to continue attacks against Israel by groups like Shiite Hamas and Hezbollah.

The muslims are the descendants of Ishmael, right? I know they call their god the god of Ishmael. And Esau married into Ishmaels family, right? Theres a bible verse, Jeremiah 49:10, that talks about Esau, or the people of Edom, though the KJV says Esau, will be destroyed. How much does this relate to the Arab people?

I don't know too much about it either and I can see how touchy of a subject it can be. It's literally forbidden to talk about, especially since I come from a leftist type of a community and I'm conservative leaning.

It sounds pretty accurate as to what I've heard about the Palestine/Israel conflict. Many try to demonize Israel by referring to them as 'baby killers' because of the abuse some Israeli soldiers have given around the Gaza borders. I'm not going to say that Israelis are fully innocent like some try to portray for them being saints no matter what they do, but unfortunately there's so much indoctrination and bias that Palestinian supporters are willingly ignorant as to what bloodshed the muslims have done in order to conquer all of their land and put their children's lives on the line to obtain Israel, which to me seems like they are true baby killers themselves.
