Magenta gave me an idea for a music thread. Here's how it works:

Think of a song and post a line from it. Then the next person takes a word from that line and names a song with that word in its title. Not only that, but post a line from that second song.

So forth and so on.

So I'll begin with "Mamas, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys" by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson

"Let 'em be doctors and lawyers and such"

Now, go!

I have appreciated much of the music of Jackson Browne, and one of his songs (co-written with Glenn Frey) even helped launch the career of The Eagles :eek:

However, I never really understood this song LOL ~ Lawyers In Love

I will take the word "love" from your line, for the song title Expresso Love, by Dire Straits, who remain one of my favorite artists of all time. I have gone to see Mark Knopfler in concert a couple of times, once many years ago while he was touring with Eric Clapton, and again recently wile he was touring with/opening up for Bob Dylan.

The line I will give from Expresso Love for the next person to pick a word from is:

She love me so tender I got to believe her​

Hello Sweetmornigdew :) The idea of the thread is to pick a word from the line given for the song. Michael started with the song, "Mamas, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys" by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson, and gave the line, "Let 'em be doctors and lawyers and such." I chose the word "lawyers" from that line for my song title, Lawyers in Love, and gave a line from it for the next person to pick a word from to be in the song title they will give a line from. It sounds complicated when I try to explain it LOL.

The line I gave from my last song was
She love me so tender I got to believe her​

The next person selects a new song title with any of those words in it :)

Then they give a line from their song, for the next person
to pick a word from to be in their chosen song title.​
