The words “safe” and “helicopter” should not be used in the same sentence. Helicopters are not safe. It’s so many things that can go fatally wrong. Pilot error, mechanical failure, bad maintenance and etc.

Helicopters are a tool where we accept the high risk of accidents because they are the only option we have in various situations. If I were a private citizen with too much money, a helicopter would not be my choice of aircraft.

Yep hate hate hate helicopters, esp when they fly around at night when I'm trying to sleep.

The most hated family in NZ wanted to have a private helicopter pad built at their home and get council consent but their neighbours were like no way. They still wanted to push through a law change. They were on the rich list, and wanted to bribe the council to change it just for them. They made a fortune making junk plastic toys that parents hate.
 
sorry for the above, but helicopters kind of get my goat
Unless they are search and rescue Westpac ones, they shouldn't be flying over suburbs at night when everyone is trying to sleep

They only good for flying over mountains trying to rescue hapless climbers who ignore warning signs...or dousing out bushfires

Oh no, if there are 3 seats I will be stuck in the middle...
I request one of those cubicle couch/bed thingies with curtains so I can curl up and have a snooze in private.

EEk there is a helicopter flying round here and it's 9:06 Sunday morning when people are either still in bed sleeping in or getting ready to go to church!

Give it a rest helicopter!!

For years naysayers claimed black helicopters were the stuff of conspiracy theorists.

I can tell you,having witnessed them flying over my house for years,they're very real. And sometimes incredibly quiet.

As someone who was on a flight a few months ago a few rows ahead of a screaming little one, I second this motion! 😂

God bless all the parents out there...

Since this is a dream flight, maybe we can hire a Professional Nanny Squad that can look after the children in a dedicated section of the plane. :LOL:

Are seats possible on the wings?😎🤣

Last year my old boss flew to Maui for her honeymoon. A nine hour flight.
Apparently the cabin pressure was too much and a baby in coach screamed the whole way. NINE HOURS!
Even taking baby to the lavatory for diaper change,they still screamed.

She and her new husband were in first class.It didn't matter. The sound reached everyone.
Given the route , it wasn't like the plane could land and have the child and mom disembark. Everyone suffered.

After arrival,travel vouchers were handed out to all passengers.

Of course,when they landed the child fell asleep.

As much as I dread a screaming baby on a flight as much as everyone else, I also have to remember my own roots.

I was adopted when I was 6 months old -- I don't know the exact flight details, but I'm guessing the route was from Seoul (Korea) to O'Hare (Chicago.)

I just looked it up on Google and it said it's a 13 hour flight (I don't know if it was any different then, i.e., a slower plane, etc.) I believe a social worker with the adoption agency accompanied me for the trip (I'm not sure of the exact details; I've read most agencies today make you go to the country of origin and stay there a few weeks to pick up your child, but parents came and got me at the airport.)

I have no idea what I was like during that flight, but if it turns out that I was the baby who screamed and fussed the whole time -- well... that sure would explain a lot! 🤣🤣🤣

After their honeymoon flight experience my former boss and her new husband bought Bose noise cancelling headphones for the flight home.

I bought a pair myself. Boy,they aren't kidding about, noise cancelling.
