I remember a boy in the time of real letters and stationary. We wrote to each other about philosophy and deep thoughts. Our favorite subject was Kirkegaard.

While my wife and I were courting online on CC we also exchanged real letters. She used stationary and cards, I like to use little tiny stickers on my letters to convey certain emotions I was feeling about her. Every day I would anxiously await for the mail to be delivered because I knew my honey was writing me. I guess for us our favorite subject was about the life that we were going to share with each other. Wonderful intimate, romantic, playful, serious love letters.

Which brings up an interesting question - why does the "person from another country" always move to the USA? Why does the american never move to the foreign country?

Yes I know sometimes the american relocates. But why does everybody assume if two people from two different countries marry, the "foreigner" will automatically move to the USA? Every time I hear anybody talking about anybody from the USA finding a spouse from another country, the assumption is the non-american will move to the USA.

We have a high percentage of Americans over here and Aussies.
They all think we live in chocolate box cottages, go ball room dancing in castles
and swoon at the mention of Heathcliffe! Lol

Because immigration has been struggling with that loophole in our system. Many, many imigrants have married U.S. Citizens to obtain visas and legal immigration status. It has become cliche'.
