It helps....may not feel.like it but it helps with the healing. Gets the dirt out of the wound so it can heal cleanly.
And just for the record....unlike my family who thinks that breakups toughen you up....I believe they just make you feel beaten and bruised. A little more shy about trusting someone again.
So spill it....what happened? What'd she say or do? What'd you do and say?

Hi IsaiahM3 glad the Lord led you to CC, welcome! I may have a different approach to break-ups. In the past when I broke-up with someone, my attitude was...oh well that didn't work out, bless him, and go on to live my life. There's no use to mourning over something that just didn't work out. Move on and pray for the right one from the Lord. God bless you and give you peace, IJNA
It will hurt but that just means your heart is still open and not hardened. Nothing wrong with feeling pain and don't worry about anything. The Lord strengthen and bless you with the patience to move past this to a happier life. Keep your faith and prayers and know that your brothers and sisters in Christ are here with you.
