Brother, I agree that truth exists outside of Scripture.
The existence of Caesarea Philippi, the Temple, Roman customs, geography, languages, and history are all examples of legitimate knowledge that help us understand the biblical text more fully.
My position is not that Scripture is the only source of truth.
My position is that Scripture is the only infallible authority for establishing doctrine.
Respectfully
Your position is not that....

Your position is that your understanding of scripture is the infallible authority for establishing doctrine. Slight difference to begin but huge difference in destination.

Because my understanding is definitely different from yours..

Not according to Jesus

Jesus said the Holy Ghost would lead us in to ALL Truth (John 16:13),
and Jesus said God's Word IS Truth (John 17:17)
Then how come my Holy Spirit says your Holy Spirit is Satan and opposed to all that is good and Holy?

Sorry, the 10 commandments existed before they were given in written form.
Would you like a list of them shown in the book of Genesis BEFORE Israel came to Mt. Sinai?
I don't need a list because Paul the apostle said that there were no commandments between Adam and Moses in Romans 5. But if you want to prove Paul wrong, then go ahead. Post your list.

The sabbath was made for "mankind" not just for Israel.
You think Jesus was talking about the Weekly Sabbath observance? I don't think he meant that.
Adam was made on day 6 of creation week. The sabbath on day 7 FOR mankind.
What does that mean in your view?
The word "adam" in Hebrew actually means "the first man" and by implication all his descendants. All of mankind.

It's not the sabbath of the Jews. It is the sabbath of the LORD thy God. Exo 20:10
The Bible distinguishes between the Sabbath Day, a future time when Israel will live in peace, free of her enemies, and the Weekly Remembrance of that Day, when Israel is forbidden to do any work.

When Jesus declares himself to be the Lord of the Sabbath, and that The Sabbath was made for man, his is not talking about the Weekly Sabbath; he is talking about the time in Israel's history when she will live in peace.

Paul reminded the Hebrews that there remains a Sabbath Rest.

The law was not written down until Moses at Mt. Sinai.
But obviously the principles of the 10 commandments were known since the days of Cain at least:

1) "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" - Gen 35:1-4
2) "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image..." - Gen 31:19, 34 & 35 and 35:2-4
3) "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain" - Could not be broken before Moses learned God's name at the burning bush.
4) "Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy..." - Gen 2:1-3 is when it was first established. It was "made for man/mankind". The word for "man" in Hebrew is "Adam". It was also already known before the Israelites got to Mt. Sinai (Ex 16:4 & 22-30)
5) "Honor thy father and thy mother..." - Gen 9:22-25
6) "Thou shalt not kill/murder" - Gen 4:8-11, 23-24 and 9:5-6
7) "Thou shalt not commit adultery" - Gen chapt. 20; 38:24; 39:7-9
8) "Thou shalt not steal" - Gen 30:33; 31:19, 30&32; 44:8
9) "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor" - Gen 39:7-20
10) "Thou shalt not covet..." - Had to be broken before the other commandments could be broken

These things were known sins (the "thou shalt not" ones anyway).
Rom 4:15 "...where no law is, there is no transgression."
Rom 3:20 "...by the law is the knowledge of sin"
I John 3:4 "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

Did Cain commit a sin when he killed his brother? Why? Where was a law given to him that stated "Thou shalt not kill"?
Did Cain know it was wrong? Why did God punish him if he committed no sins?
Did Joseph know it would be a sin against his master (and against God) if he slept with Potiphar's wife?
Where's the commandment for that?
What about Sodom and Gomorrah? Why was the antediluvian world destroyed?
Where no law is there can be no transgression.

The law was not written down yet but obviously it was known at the time.

You think Jesus was talking about the Weekly Sabbath observance? I don't think he meant that.

What does that mean in your view?

The Bible distinguishes between the Sabbath Day, a future time when Israel will live in peace, free of her enemies, and the Weekly Remembrance of that Day, when Israel is forbidden to do any work.

When Jesus declares himself to be the Lord of the Sabbath, and that The Sabbath was made for man, his is not talking about the Weekly Sabbath; he is talking about the time in Israel's history when she will live in peace.

Paul reminded the Hebrews that there remains a Sabbath Rest.
Read the context.
Jesus is talking about the 7th day sabbath. Matt 12:1-2; Mark 2:23-24 and Luke 6:1-2

Paul was talking about the 7th day sabbath Heb 4:4 and 10.
And verse 9 the original Greek word used for "rest" is "sabbatismos", a specific reference the weekly sabbath day of rest.

God gave the law to His children..
The wall of separation has been broken down. I hope you are a child of God.
Right. The Wall of separation kept Gentiles from gaining access to God via the temple. Paul argues that through the Cross of Jesus Christ, everyone now gains access to God through the Holy Spirit. This supports and emphasizes Jesus' point that God's children will no longer worship him from a temple; they will worship him in spirit and in truth.

Heb 8:7-8
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

If it was faultless no new covenant would have been set up..

It was faultless on God's side but faulty on men's side.
Hebrews 8 makes clear that the fault was not in the covenant itself. The fault was with the people who entered into the covenant. Their problem was not a lack of information but a lack of spiritual ability. They repeatedly broke God's covenant because their hearts did not change. The prophets foretold that God would remedy this condition by performing an inner transformation. Instead of merely writing His law on stone tablets and commanding obedience from the outside, God would write His law on their hearts and enable obedience from within. Thus, the new covenant was necessary not because God's standards had failed, but because God's people needed spiritual renewal.

Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

The flesh can not obey the Spiritual law.
The Law functioned much like a diagnostic tool rather than a cure. It revealed God's holy standard, exposed sin, and made clear the spiritual condition of the covenant people. As Paul explains, the Law brought knowledge of sin, but it could not heal the sinful heart that it exposed. It could identify the problem, but it could not provide the inward transformation necessary to overcome it. The Law could command holiness, but it could not create holiness within the individual. Therefore, the failure of the old covenant was not that God's standard was defective, but that the covenant could expose humanity's spiritual brokenness without supplying the spiritual renewal needed to remedy it. The new covenant addresses this need by providing the inner transformation that the Law could reveal as necessary but could never itself produce.
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Without The Holy Spirit they could not obey the law.
That isn't true. The problem was not that Israelites lacked the physical ability to obey commandments. Scripture never presents the Law as impossible in that sense. Rather, the Law could command holiness without imparting the deeper spiritual knowledge of God that characterizes the new covenant. The Spirit's role is not simply to make people morally better but to enlighten them, reveal God's character, deepen their understanding of Christ, and bring them into a genuine knowledge of God. The promise of Hebrews 8 is therefore not merely improved behavior but transformed spiritual perception: "they shall all know Me."

They tried to do it in their own power and failed.

I believe it will be all the laws to... but all the laws that are not nailed to the cross. Col 2:14,
All the laws that were not abolished... Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
The "ordinances" in Ephesians 2:15 are best understood as the covenant regulations that identified and separated Israel from the nations, such as circumcision, food laws, and purity regulations. These ordinances served an important purpose under the old covenant, but once Christ established the new covenant, they no longer functioned as barriers between Jew and Gentile. In that sense, they were abolished in Christ's flesh, allowing both groups to become one people of God.

The ordinances Paul has in view include those covenant regulations that identified Israel as a distinct people among the nations. Circumcision, food laws, purity regulations, feast days, and even the Sabbath served as visible signs of Israel's covenant status. These ordinances created a social and religious barrier between Jew and Gentile. Through the cross, Christ removed those covenantal distinctions, creating one new people of God from both groups.
The love of God does not contradict itself.. it is the same love that is presented in laws and the life of Jesus and the entire Bible.
They build on each other.

The law is bring written in the hearts of those that except them. Why don't you let all of the 10 commandments be written in your heart.
Jeremiah is not talking about me. He is talking about the House of Israel.

Read the context.
Jesus is talking about the 7th day sabbath. Matt 12:1-2; Mark 2:23-24 and Luke 6:1-2
Is he? Think about it. Jesus claimed to be Lord of one day of the week? I would think he would be lord of them all.
If one day of the week was made for man, what or who were the other days of the week made for?
Paul was talking about the 7th day sabbath Heb 4:4 and 10.
Really, there remains a Weekly Sabbath for the people? How does that make sense. There is already a weekly Sabbath for the people and Joshua wouldn't need to give the people a weekly Sabbath because Moses already did that.

We need to think this all the way through.
And verse 9 the original Greek word used for "rest" is "sabbatismos", a specific reference the weekly sabbath day of rest.
Again, Joshua didn't give the people the Weekly Sabbath? Is that true?

Because my understanding is definitely different from yours..
The difference is that when our understandings conflict, we need a standard outside of both of us by which to test them.
For me, that standard is Scripture.
If my interpretation disagrees with Scripture, my interpretation must be corrected.
If your interpretation disagrees with Scripture, your interpretation must be corrected.
The authority is not my understanding of the text.
The authority is the text God inspired.

God created the sabbath on day 7 of creation week (Gen 2:1-3). Then wrote down the commandment to remember that at Mt. Sinai (Exo 20:8-11).

It doesn't phase me one way or the other if that doesn't make sense to you.

Sunday became the Lords Day, when the Lord Jesus Christ fully accepted, authorized, and ordained the transition from the Saturday Sabbath to Sunday (the Lord's Day).
This change was not an arbitrary or independent human decision made by the Apostles. Rather, it was a divinely appointed change initiated by Christ’s resurrection and established through the apostolic authority given to them by Christ Himself.
Your not giving any scriptures to back up your presumptions.

Where in the Bible before the death of Jesus did the Sabbath get changed?

A will or covenant is set once the blood of the testator has died. No changes after the death... the apostles did not keep Sunday as the Sabbath.

the specific day was changed from the seventh day (Saturday) to the first day (Sunday) by apostolic authority and early church tradition following the resurrection.
Only God has this authority and God does not clearly say there was a change.

It is clearly stated which day God set with authority = Saturday 7th day.

No scripture can be given to show that God changed the day.

Acts 20:7, 1 Corth 16:2, are not evidence that God changed the day.

People gathered every day like today.

Mid week bible studies does not make that day a sabbath day.

Circumcision was a requirement for God's covenant people. God took it so seriously that He was going to kill Moses for disobedience. Paul stated clearly that circumcision was not necessary under the new covenant. In fact, getting circumcised as a believer was condemned by Paul (Galatians 5:2).

Your argument on the Law and the Sabbath is simply false. The New Covenant means New Life in Christ and New Law (the Law of the Spirit of Life).

SDA and others enslaved to the law are bound to keep every facet of the Law. You cannot. So how will you justify yourself before Christ on judgement day?

In the midst of the week, Jesus was stained, correct?
What happened after midst of the week? Regarding below.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:
The Holy Spirit was given to the apostles at Pentecost

They (Israel) still had 3 and a half years until the end of the 70th week.

Mat 10:5-7
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

They failed as a nation.

There time was up at the end of the week. When the stoned Stephen.

After that the gospel went to the world. But many Jews did become followers of Jesus.. Paul is one.

So Jesus confirmed the covenant with Israel for 1 week. 3 and a half with His own life and 3 and a half with the apostles preaching.

The LAWS OF THE NEW COVENANT NOT THE OLD COVENANT...
That's what is commanded of us.

Do you even know the commandments of Jesus for the New Covenant?
Like can you even list them? There is no organized list in the New Testament....you have to know what Jesus said.
Or
Are you stuck on the Old Covenant and acting like you are special?
Did Jesus live the 10 commandments? And obey the 10 commandments?

A witness and example to us.

The law of God does not change over time. The standard of sin for God does not change. If God changes His moral laws then God is not JUST.

Are you saying the definition of Sin has changed?

When Jesus died on the Cross which definition of Sin did He die for?

The law of God defines sin.

Jesus obeyed the father. God's law.

Jesus is God. Jesus gave the Ten commandments. He did not give one set of moral laws only to change the years later.. your so stuck on the new Testament that the old has lost its value.

Jesus worked on Saturday, healed on Saturday, picked food on Saturday, gathered, teached on many days.

Acts 15 and Colossians 2:16 prove you wrong. The church managed to evangelise much of the world without the false doctrines of the SDA. And that is still ongoing while SDA desperately seek to establish their own righteousness by obeying the law. Convert to Judaism. You will be right at home.

Psychologists created a test with schoolyard playgrounds.

They put a fence around one
No fence around the other.

Children and teachers remained the same....

The children played next to the schoolhouse when there was no fence.
But
The children played next to the fence when there is one.

These Saturday/sabbath people are trying to create a fence out of whole cloth.
God gave us a moral law to protect us from sin.
Sin = death and separation from God.

Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

God's law is for our proction.

Rom 7:12-14
12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. 13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

The law is not the enemy.. it is good and holy. Sin is the enemy..

The debate is...
What is sin?

I believe it is to transgress God's law.

You believe it is to transgress Jesus's law.
Jesus and the father are one. JESUS IS GOD.

same God same law.

Mat 5:17-18
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

The 7th day sabbath is.
