I do appreciate your desire to teach spiritual things, but “testimonies” is not authority from God for practices or beliefs. The Bible says, if any man speaks, he must speak as the oracles of God.”1 Peter 4:11. And whatever we do in word or deed, we must do it all in the name of the Lord; that means by God’s authority, God has spoken in his word on women preachers. God is not going to tell you to do something that goes against what the Holy Spirit has written. You know who ALWAYS wants us to do the opposite of what God says? Satan. Didn’t he persuade Eve to do the opposite of what God said? God says ( in the Bible) that baptism saves us ( 1 what has Satan done? He has persuaded people to believe that baptism does NOT save us. God has said we are not saved by “faith only”. What has Satan persuaded men to believe? We ARE saved by “faith only.” Satan ALWAYS tells people to do the opposite of what God has said.
Also, in Hebrews 1:1-2 the Holy Spirit has written that IN TIMES PAST, God spoke to people “at various times and in various ways”. He spoke to them directly out loud or in their rear; he spoke to them in DREANS, visions, and prophecy. BUT, in these last days—that is NOW; We are in these last days__NOW. Now, He has spoken to us through His “SON.”—Jesus Christ.
The New Testament is called the “last will and testament of Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 2:16 tells us that we have the mind of Christ in the New Testament. That information coupled with 2 Tim. 3:16 which says that the scriptures are divinely inspired by God, that the Bible is complete and is ALL we need for EVERY GOOD WORK, tells me that God does not speak to us in “dreams”” anymore; or in any of the ways that He did in the past. NOW, He speaks to us through the words of Jesus Christ in the divinely inspired Book of God. Don’t you think Satan would like to get you to ignore what God says and what Jesus says in the Bible?? Of course he does. Don’t be deceived. The Bible is a “sure” thing. Believe it. It is the word of God. I’m telling you, according to Hebrews 1, God did not talk to you in a dream. If He did then He lied—either in the dream or in the Bible. And if the Bible is a book of lies, you are wasting your time preaching it.
Let me tell you a divinely inspired story—not from me, but from God. 1 Kings 13. A man of God was given a mission. He was told by God to go to the city of Bethel and prophecy against King Jerobiam.. God told him he was “NOT to eat bread, nor drink water, nor return by the same way you came.” Verse 9, He did everything God said…until an old prophet came to him and invited him to come home with him and eat. The man of God told him that he could not and he repeated what God said. The old prophet told him that an ANGEL came to him and told him it was alright for the man of God to come home with him and eat. But the Bible says HE LIED! The man of God does not know that the old prophet is lying to him. BUT, he DOES KNOW what God has said to him. He has a choice—to believe what he KNOWS God has said…or believe the old prophet. He decides to believe the old prophet. He takes the word of an angel OVER the word of God.
While he was eating, God spoke through the old prophet and said, “Because you have DISOBEYED the word of the Lord, and have NOT kept the commandment which the Lord your God has commanded you,…your corpse shall not come to the tomb of your fathers.” He was killed by God on his way home and was buried in that land.
This could be you, in this story. You could be the “man of God” who knows what God has said in 1 Cor. 14:34, but is taking the word of a “dream”. Over the word of God. Did you notice that the old prophet told him to do the exact thing “opposite” of what God said? Satan is the father of lies. Abd he will always tell you the opposite of what God says. So if someone in a dream told you to preach, which is the “opposite” of what God has said, then that is NOT God. Someone is lying to you, just like the old prophet lied to the man of God. Don’t listen to something else instead of what God says in 1 Cor. 14:34.
Yes, I can believe that you received many material blessings in the form of gifts and money, etc. because Satan is the ruler of this world.’ 1 John 5:19, and John 12:31. When Satan was tempting Jesus, one of the temptations was that if Jesus would serve him (Satan), he would give Jesus the “kingdoms of the world and their glory. That includes wealth. Satan is fully capable and has promised to reward those who server him ..in THIS life. But that bait has a HOOK! You will pay for it eternally in the next life.
So your testimony may sound wonderful and impress those who don’t know what God has said or how important it is to obey God and not Satan. But, there is a judgement day coming in which we will be judged by the things written in the books ( Revelation 20:12—not by dreams.
