Well, hopefully you will understand me when you live long enough to gain such wisdom,
but the reason you don't get my jokes is because they are sick.
You seem to have a fetish about the military, but FYI I was just told
I believe in the Orthodox doctrine of theosis.
Anything is up to discussion when you present a point, such as military.
It's not a fetish to talk about the military while your whole life is defined by the military (like my parents) and you have a hard time to discuss things in a non-military fashion.
As far as doctrines go, i told you before that the American Baptist Church seems to be more closely aligned to what i believe in, so i'm happy too see this unity that you want to achieve but my tolerance level is not 100% like your military style.
I'm happy to find agreement with 1 out of 10 points and then with baby steps we may go to 2 out of 10.
But with the Baptist Church i'm like 9 out of 10 when i read the statement of faith from the Baptist Church website which i posted a few months ago.
So it's good news basically and this calls for another coffee so we can rejoice.
Exactly, do not forbid others to speak in languages, but not unknown languages. That wouldn't benefit anyone. If there are some in the congregation that speak another language, do not forbid someone to speak to them in their language.
Speaking in a language that the audience does not understand only benefits the person speaking and God. It's of no benefit to anyone else.
Oh brother, with all respect, who cares what AI says about scripture?
As I stated, Paul is speaking of man in general.
I would say, not to a Jew, but about a Jew.
Here’s a good question? Why was death and burial necessary before resurrection? That’s just the way God chose to do it. But why does God wait for death and burial before He resurrects something? Frustrating

Well, I try to be a good soldier of Christ (2Tim. 2:3-4), and I am glad you agree with most Baptist beliefs,
which may be more than I do at this point, because in addition to OSAS I also think other statements could be improved,
which is why I compiled the 5-point creed I share all over the place.
I do online virtual class. Are you from Tulsa or did you move there for ORU?
Hope the following verse is in your five points.
1 Corinthians 4:20
For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power.
You can't describe an eternal Spirit in words but you can feel the limitless power of the Holy Spirit!
As I asked Dino246.
How does this affect the assertion of people today who claim to be Biblical Jews?
But why would you forbid anyone from speaking in another language?
That does not make sense.
AI is important in that AI provides a pure literal reading of the text, and that without
a shred of theological bias.
So... who is the REAL goober here? The folks that try to honestly answer a question the only way they know how, or the twit that asks a question that presumes that any of us mortal human beings KNOW why Almighty God chooses to do something a certain way?Look goobers, I know all the freakin scriptures on death burial and resurrection. I was asking WHY God CHOSE to do it that way. My gosh, stop throwing scriptures at me. I guess I should have said, “why does God make some Christians illiterate?”

That is where you are painfully mistaken. You have been taught an interpretation of Romans
that ignores the context.
You are not alone in the way you read Romans.
I am in a small but growing minority.
17 But if you bear the name “Jew” and rely upon the Law and boast in God.
24 For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” just as it is written.
Paul is speaking directly to the Jews in Rome, 'because of you'.
I know you can read what I just wrote and you are in denial of the obvious.
