Meaningless Repetition

Consecration???

Wow, talk about the pit of Hell!

I find it astounding that Catholics are so far from God, but yet try to deceive us with their lies that they are True Christians.

May God have mercy on their Souls.

I found this:
"Consecration to the Mother of God," says Pope Pius XII, "is a total gift of self, for the whole of life and for all eternity; and a gift which is not a mere formality or sentimentality, but effectual, comprising the full intensity of the Christian life - Marian life." This consecration, the Pope explained, "tends essentially to union with Jesus, under the guidance of Mary."

By our consecration we promise to become dependent on Mary in all things: to offer all our prayers and oblations to God through Mary, and to seek every gift from God through Mary. And we do this with the greatest confidence. Since she is our mother, she knows our needs better than we; and since she is Queen of Heaven, she has immediate access to the infinite treasury of graces in the Kingdom of her Divine Son.

So if I read this right, the Catholics have made Mary their god.

we're making a note that much evil has been exchanged in this thread, especially against
some of those who we know love and honor our Blessed Saviour with the best of their hearts...

sometimes certain threads can be quite appalling and embarrassing...

may God Bless the peace-makers who have tried to do their part...

and to the few who are wise enough to know when to keep their mouths shut...

There are different types of manifestations of faith. The Centurion just said "Speak the word and my servant will be healed" We are all at different understandings in our walk with the Lord.

So, sometimes there is a need for saying repeatedly what we believe in order to cement the truth into our minds and there are other times that we only need to speak it once. ( the reality is that we have to believe first and not just mimic an action in a repetitive way without having first believed biblically )

The Holy Spirit will guide us in this. Where we get into error is when we say "It has to be this way or it is not faith".

Matthew 9:20-21 (NASB)
[SUP]20 [/SUP] And a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years, came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak;

[SUP]21 [/SUP] for she was saying to herself, "If I only touch His garment, I will get well."

This "was saying" is in the imperfect tense in Greek which is a continuous action in the past.

Yes again its the person of faith as to the work or result .God must of worked and spoke to her heart and said; touch me to be used it as a teaching tool a sign . She was saying to herself as god contined to work in her to both will and do His good pleasure. But the commandment came from God (unseen.) A continuous action in the past..made perfect when she followed the commandment. And not from her own self, a faith created by her imagination.

Amen...another translation said " She had heard of Jesus"...we know that faith comes from hearing of Jesus. Rom 10:17 He is the author and finisher of faith. The faith originated from hearing about Jesus.

Mark 5:27 (KJV)
[SUP]27 [/SUP] When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

I remember one time hearing something about the helm of a garment that meant something - it was some kind of a symbol to the Jewish people. Have you heard anything about this?
