Rom 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

then why are you judging? Talk about being a hypocrite!

lol. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

You are the one assuming. You assume all of us grace people love to live in sin, Love to do everything we can against God. and you are in error. So if your going to judge us for assuming, You should stop yourself. and stick to the facts.

What defines sin. Tell me. Scripture said if you look on a lady with lust, you have committed sin, If you know to do right, yet do not do it, it is sin. Nothing in the law would tell us that these are sins. So you tell me, What does scripture define as sin?

Lets see. A man and woman ate a peace of fruit and the fall of ALL mankind occured. The earth started to die, this seemingly small sin (which was not contained in the law) caused all these horrific things to occure, not only to mankinds actions, Our bodies (disease and sickness) but nature.. And all you want to focus on is the sabbath, murder and sexual sin??

See thats your problem. You do not know what sin is, You think you holy because you follow ten commandments. Yet if ALL you follow is these. like the pharisees, You will never know how truely sinful you are.

What is sin? ANYTHING you do with SELF in mind.

But you people do not want to know this, because you would have to admit, your just as much sinners as the rest of us. And that would destroy your pride. (there is your biggest sin, Pride outways all sins you love to focus on, Because ALL SIN, Including those) ARE BASED ON PRIDE!

then why are you judging? Talk about being a hypocrite!

Speaks for itself.

Speaks for itself.
so facts is judging someone? for the year since i've been here i've heard each and everyone of you even you yourself call us lawless and say we use grace as an excuse to Sin, so how is telling the truth being judgemental?

Speaks for itself.

yeah it does.

Your the one judging us as sinners

Your the one judging us as loving sin

Your the one judging us as hating Gods laws.

non of which is correct.

judge not LEST YE be judged my friend. stop picking up stones. and go take care of your own sin before you start judging others!

Uh, please show me one post where I called you or anyone else a sinner? If you can't, quit posting lies.

That does not say that we are free to violate the letter of the law but that we are not under the condemnation of the law to obey it.(Rom 6:14,15).

Romans 10:4 says no such thing. Here is what it says...

Rom 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

The word for "end" here is...

G5056
τέλος
telos
tel'-os
From a primary word τέλλω tellō (to set out for a definite point or goal); properly the point aimed at as a limit, that is, (by implication) the conclusion of an act or state (termination [literally, figuratively or indefinitely], result [immediate, ultimate or prophetic], purpose); specifically an impost or levy (as paid): - + continual, custom, end (-ing), finally, uttermost. Compare G5411.

It means outcome or point aimed at. This word, G5056 τέλος, is used other places in the N.T., let's look at them...

1Pe 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Yep, G5056 τέλος is the word used here for end. So, is your faith obliterated? Done away with? Brought to an end? or is it brought to an outcome of salvation?

Jas 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Same word, G5056 τέλος, for end here. Is this the obliteration of the Lord? The doing away with Him? The use of the word is determined by context. Let's see how a few other translations render it...

New International Version:
Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

International Standard Version:
For the Messiah is the culmination of the Law as far as righteousness is concerned for everyone who believes

Aramaic Bible in Plain English:
For The Messiah is the consummation of The Written Law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

The sense of it is the end result, not the obliteration.

Why do you say it is condemnation to obey? The implication is that we justified by disobeying the Law. Care to show me a scripture for that? Here is one to chew on...

Rom 2:13 (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified;

I wish I had a nickel for every time someone has misused Rom 10:4[/QUOTE]

If any man puts himself under the law he is a debtor to the whole law and can not expect the grace of God to bail him out when he fails, breaks or violates any part of the law. You refuse to understand that and why Christ is the end of the law unto righteousness and why we have been placed in Christ under grace. To come out from under the law you have to take up your cross and reckon yourself to be dead to the law and unto the sin the law reveals.

Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once:but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you:for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. 19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh:for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. 21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. 22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Your joking right?

How many times do you post we believe it is ok to sin?? And we love sin and not the law? God is watching you. do not try to get out of admitting you have done this over and over and over.. (not to mention judging us according to the sabbath)

Well, I guess something good came out of this thread........ we learned something about those posting who 'came out of the closet', so to speak. At least some of us can see a little better.

This thread forced me to dig even deeper into the "freedom" and "liberty" that is ours in Christ. Interesting how those two words raise the hackles of the legalist.

Well, show me.

We remain blind until we recognize apart from Christ we are lost sinners.

John 9:39
And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

A religious spirit is a self righteous blinding spirit.

Notice. He said they would have no sin.

But since they were blind, there sin remains.

He never claimed they were sinless. even if they saw. He claimed their punishment for sin would be removed. It is called justification. Something these legalists can't fathom! because they are still trying to be sinless according to the law. And failing miserably. As we all are!

This is just a humble thought. From what I can tell, I don't think either side is going to convince each other. Both sides seem to have scripture to back their beliefs up. I emphasis seem. So why not go to God in humble prayer? Ask Him which direction is best? And I understand some of you might say "Why ask God for something already in scripture?" I can understand your point, but obviously this is an important issue for a lot of you, and there is a dispute. I believe the Holy Spirit can clear things up. Love all you guys.

There you go with your false accusations again. Do you not have anything better to do?

I follow Gods law. I just don;t go around praising myself for it. Because I know I still fail. Something you seem to be unable to do. And I don;t judge others for doing what I myself am unable to do..

So your sinless? Why do you focus on just a few sins. Your so blinded by your interpretation of the law, you can;t even see your own sin. Did God judge David for going to these things AFTER He called David a man after his own heart?

lol. And who is he who overcomes? A person that by his own power? Or he who is born of God.

I feel sorry for you, you who are enslaved by the law. And yes you are enslaved, because you think you are righteous. But righteousness is as filthy rags..

You freely put words in my mouth I never spoke.

sadly. what you speak. and what you claim you believe does not match up.. you say one thing one time,, then turn around and say the opposite the next.. then you claim I put words in your mouth.. sad!..

Quote where I said:

Im sinless

I overcome by my own power

I think Im righteous

Quote where I said:

Im sinless

How could you be saved if your not sinless? What makes you more sinless than someone else?

I overcome by my own power

if you can lose salvation by not overcoming, which you claim. Then how can anyone interpret what you say anyplace else?

I think Im righteous

You must think your righteous. Or else you would lose salvation would you not? Your the one claiming one can lose salvation if they do not live up to some standard. not me..
