News Flash: Do you guys not remember the conflict Paul and Peter both had to deal with in terms of Jews and Christians. Throughout the Pauline Epistles and even in the Gospels, Christ taught that we are not obligated to fulfill the Sabbath anymore. Remember? The very reason why Christians met so early in the morning was because they...ummm...WORKED in the latter part of the day.

Can you show a text where Christ said that?

Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.

Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth.
Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand

(Romans 14:1-4)

That has nothing to do with the Sabbath of the Lord. It is talking about food.

Sorry, but COMPASSION does not include blatantly transgressing the Law of God.

And its always humorous when people who claim that the Old Testament Law has been abolished try to use the Old Testament verses to do it LOL!

Come on, you can do better than THAT. That verse WAS THERE when God's people were told to keep His Commandments. Stop trying to pit one thing against the other.

We CAN actually have LOVE and keep the LAW at the same time.

That's the problem, most Christians are so blind to this concept. They don't even realize that the LAW and LOVE are the same identical thing.

Romans 13:8-10
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

You don't go claiming to LOVE God and to LOVE your neighbour when you bow to graven images, take the Lord's name in vain, break the Sabbath, worship other gods, steal from your neighbour, kill your neighbour, and commit adultery with your neighbour.

That's the problem, todays Christians are so blind, they don't even know the BASICS of real Christianity.

That's WHY Jesus said the Religious Leaders of HIS day, tithed mint and rue but neglected the weightier matters of the Law like love, kindness, compassion, then He added that we should do the one and not leave the other UNDONE. DO BOTH. Jesus did BOTH. He attended Church on Sabbath AND had compassion. What a concept!

In all your diligent search, show us in the scriptures of the NT church epistles, not the gospels, but after Pentecost where there was any reference to or instructions given to the church and body of Christ to keep or remember the Sabbath. You can even study the many references in the book of Acts relating to the Sabbath but never are they in the context of the church keeping the Sabbath. Show me where any of those churches and assembly of believers specifically gathered on the Sabbath like the Jews did.

The new covenant is the old covenant written in the heart and mind (Jeremiah 31:31-33, Hebrews 10:16). Why are christians saying that the law of sin and death is the ten commandment law (moral law), these are totally different. The law of sin and death is saying that the penalty for sin is death, the second death (Romans 6:23, Ezekiel 18:20).
Yes, Jesus is the lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8) but Adam and Eve didn't know that until Jesus showed and told them. Sorry about that should have explained it better (Genesis 3:21). God gave Moses detailed instructions - the ten commandments which are broken down showing the love for God and the love for your fellow man were put in the ark of the covenant, which was placed in the Most Holy Place in the temple of God, which was an example of the temple in heaven that will stand forever. ( Exodus 36 -40, Revelation 11:19)

The ceremonial laws, ordinances passed away, not the ten commandments. They were a foreshadow of Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:14-22)

Every nation or kingdom is governed by laws and Heaven is no different. The bible says that iniquity (sin) was found in Lucifer (covering cherub, ark of the covenant where the ten commandments, commandment of love are kept). Lucifer sinned, trangressed against God's law in heaven (Ezekiel 28:14-18). We keep the Sabbath, 4th commandment in God's Kingdom (Isaiah 66:22-23). The devil was kicked out of heaven because he did not want to follow God's law and he wants us to disobey God's law also.

We are to use all the Bible for doctrine not part of it. It is incorrect to ask for just part of the Bible for doctrine.

Luke 24:27 KJV
(27) And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Jesus used all scripture for doctrine not part of it. To use only part is incorrect.

Here are verses in Acts

(Acts 1:12 KJV) Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

(Acts 13:14 KJV) But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.

(Acts 13:27 KJV) For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

(Acts 13:42 KJV) And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

(Acts 13:44 KJV) And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

(Acts 15:21 KJV) For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

(Acts 16:13 KJV) And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

(Acts 17:2 KJV) And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

(Acts 18:4 KJV) And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

This is a huge problem with understanding what God wants us to understand about His plan of salvation for us and how God wants us to live. The church today says that anything God explained of Himself and the world He created that He told us before Christ was crucified was not true. That is not so. God is eternal. Everything is true.

When Christ was crucified, it was something planned from the beginning, and the Old Testament teachings revolve around that. When God said look to blood for atonement, God was preparing the world for Christ. When God said this is the duties of the priest, God was preparing the world for the high priest.

When God said I have a Sabbath for you, I want you to honor it, and told us how to do that, it was eternal. Christ added to existing instructions on how to do that. In Acts, it tells of the Christians going to synagogue. When it mentioned the first day of the week, it told of a meeting on that day, but not a Sabbath on that day.

So in short, what you are saying is that Christians all over the world are in deception and what you believe is the truth? That's a huge huge accusation against the church. When did your church become the one who "found the way?" after so many many centuries?

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Matthew 7:13-14

So what was the purpose of Jesus coming to earth here to do? And why did he go to the cross? what was the purpose? Why did he not fight back as what this world does?

There were a few reasons for the Lord's manifestation.
1) to be baptized for those who couldn't be
2) to atone for our sins
3) to take away our excuse to say we can't keep the law.

Jesus says He's a fulfillment of the law.
Meaning He wouldn't fail in any area of it.

Let me ask you this, if God's law of liberty could be altered or changed
why did Jesus need to die for us. Why not say" you know what that law we setup it's too hard for them."
"Let's just make a little tweak in the Law"

God's law is ever-binding.
It is written that it would be easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for even one tittle (one jot one little marking)to be changed.

It's mind-blowing how so many people fall for Satan's deception, but the bible foretold it( Daniel 7:25)

Might I add up until the time of Constantine you would have been still observing the 7th day sabbath.

The roman church in their catechisms openly admits that there's no biblical reference for 1st day observance.
It's their mark and that they changed it as proof of their ecclesiastically power as the Mother church and
as the acting power of God on earth.

Research it, It's not very hard to find.

When Jesus said in (John 6:53-61) that unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no eternal life in you. The Jews who followed Christ never heard that before and did not understand and thought it to be a hard saying to be able to keep. They could keep the law but to keep this saying it was just way too hard for them and they went back and followed Christ no more (John 6:66). They could keep the Sabbath but to eat His flesh and drink his blood was not for them. The NT believer is to eat his flesh and drink his blood. How many of you Sabbath keepers know what Jesus was talking about? This was a commandment for those who would follow Christ. Do you follow Christ and do you eat his flesh and brink his blood, if not, then you have no eternal life in you. None of the 10 commandments being obeyed in a perfect manner can give eternal life, just ask the rich young ruler of (Luke 18:18), who obeyed and kept the commandments from his youth (Luke 18:21), yet asked Jesus what he MUST DO to inherit eternal life (verse 18). Then read Jesus' response to this rich young Jewish ruler who kept the commandments.

This is exactly what I think is happening. It is a new awakening very like the protestant revolution was in 1500. It must be carefully and scripturally looked at. It is very upsetting. I went to history to trace where such as Sunday worship and getting rid of all things Jewish came from and where it started. It requires searching for where this idea that we must look carefully at the traditions established in our churches came from. It takes searching scripture carefully to be sure it is following scripture. It is!

This study of history of approving creating new celebrations for our worship came after the gentiles took over leadership of the church and it did not follow God's plan of one family in Christ. The Jews leadership sometimes worked against the plan, and so did gentile leadership. The first apostles to the gentiles, teaching God's ways was exaggerated into a plan teaching the separation. That was done to counter the Jewish leadership promoting their way of worship as the only way. We are doing the same thing, only we are sort of throwing out the baby with the bath water, we throw out even things God established as eternal.

The origins of the new understanding comes from our scholars who went to Jerusalem to study archeology that led to understanding of ancient Hebrew culture, of understanding OT. We need to look at their source of information. The first we learned of their source was that scripture hasn't changed in thousands of years, even though it was transcribed by men by hand for hundreds of those years. That would say their source of information is reliable.

You are judging the keeping of the Sabbath as a way of not keeping the Sabbath as Christ told us to do. That doesn't make sense. Do you think that denial of Sabbath is a way to teach the proper way to keep it? I don't think that is good reasoning.

Jesus being omniscient new that the rich young ruler loved and trusted in His riches more than God. This is the point. This is the HEART of the matter.

Sorry but I have in the past spent WAY too much time on forums like these, trying to explain things to people, and I learned the hard way that if someone doesn't want to know something, then there is nothing that I can say to get through to them. Even Jesus couldn't, and He was perfect.

Besides, I am in the process of writing a large book, and that is really what I ought to be doing, not wasting my time here.

I wrote these Bible verses down a long time ago, and learned my lesson well... and I am way past worrying what anyone thinks about me for leaving. I only care anymore what GOD thinks of me, He is the one who reads my thoughts and my heart. I have learned to discern the attitude of people when I am trying to explain something to them. This just saves me loads of wasted time' besides that, I feel I have already said plenty enough here on this forum in the little time I've been here (besides, I am not a masochist LOL!) You people have absolutely NO idea what I have endured over the years. I have served my time:

LEAVE THEM ALONE IF THEY REFUSE THE LIGHT

Daniel:12:10: Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Isaiah:56:11: Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

1Cor:2:14: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

2Thes:2:10,11: And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie

Matthew:15:14: Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Matthew:7:6: Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Prov:14:7: Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

Prov:23:9: Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.

Hosea:4:17: Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.

Mk:6:11: And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Spreading the truth, even when not received, is never a waste of time.

the title of this thread condemns all who do not follow Jesus the way in which the seventh day adventists do. The Holy Spirit really has been slack in saving people if he allowed the message of God to remain virtually dead until the 19th century and then only saved a few 'law' abiders.
in a word: foolishness

We are also seed planters, no not everyone will hear but there will be some that do. The Holy Spirit will do the heavy lifting and convict and convince those who hear to make the changes needed. So I am learning to persevere and stay in the hot kitchen and I try doing so with the love of Christ. But I admire your boldness for speaking the truth. I venture a guess we are of the same church. So stick around if you have the time. I have your back.

Christ specifically said that we were not made for the Sabbath, but that the Sabbath was made for us. Do you honestly believe that God in His infinite wisdom and glory actually cares if I take my day of rest on Friday evening to Saturday evening? Or does He rather enjoy my wednesday day of rest or sunday day of rest, due to work or life? God wants a relationship, not a tyrannical mode of worship of "THIS DAY AND NO OTHER!!!!"

You are encouraged to worship the Lord every day but you will not find another day that is blessed, hallowed, a sign between us and God, sanctified and made for us other than the 7th day Sabbath that God instituted back at creation. Love in Christ.

Then there's the rest of the laws concerning the Sabbath (seventh) day
:

1. No work done at all (Ex. 20: 10; Lev. 23: 3; Jer. 17:21-22). No watering the lawn, no working in the yard, no hobbies, no surfing, no fixing flat tires, etc. By law if a person did not stop all types of activity in honor of the Sabbath, he was breaking the law. In Numbers 15:32-36 a man was caught collecting sticks on the Sabbath, and he was stoned to death.
2 No kindling of a fire (Ex. 35:3). No fellowship cookouts or barbecues. You can't go into a restaurant and get a hamburger that's been flame broiled, you can't cook eggs, or pancakes in the morning because you'd be kindling a fire for cooking. To drive a car would be to "kindle a fire" In the combustion chamber of your engine.
3. No traveling at all (Ex. 16:29). Later the Jews added to this law, allowing only a half mile of travel on the Sabbath which we see observed in the NT. But the pure law says "stay at home." Actually, If you kept this part of the law, you could not travel to your church gathering unless it was less than one-quarter mile away from home. If you had an emergency you could not drive to the hospital.
4. No trading (Amos 8:5). If you happened to need gas to get to church service, you could not "trade" money for gasoline. You would not be allowed to buy a cassette tape of that morning's message or a book at the store. There is to be No exchanging of money for goods. If you worked with stocks and you needed to sell you couldn’t.
5. No marketing (Neh. 10:31; 13:15,19). Make sure you do no shopping whatsoever. You can't buy any ice cream for dessert after dinner or anything else. If you run out of food or drink at home you can’t go out to purchase any, you can’t even by a stick of gum.
6. A holy assembly with double the daily offering along with the other offerings. In other words, you are to give twice as much on the Sabbath (Num. 28:9).Do we practiced this today In compliance with Old Testament law. Do Sabbatarian's really practice the law? I have yet to see people go to Shabbat and give twice as much each week.
7. New showbread In the holy place (Lev. 24:8). Of course this cannot be done today since there is no temple, so this part of the Sabbath cannot be followed by the church. The fact Is the Sabbath was not made for the gentiles, but for the Jews and their generations (Ex. 31:12-17). It's a law given between God and the Jews.
8.The last part of the requirements for keeping the Sabbath day law Is the penalty for breaking It. DEATH

So, which of you are keeping the Shabbat of the 10 commandments?

When Jesus said in (John 6:53-61) that unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no eternal life in you. The Jews who followed Christ never heard that before and did not understand and thought it to be a hard saying to be able to keep.

Yeah, Yahshua was always saying things to thin out the herd. I imagine Him turning to the remaining followers, "What are you lookin at!! You want to leave too??!!" To which they replied, "Where would we go? You have the Words of Life."
