It says all the nations of the earth will be gathered against Israel. The Romans did not gather soldiers from every nation on earth, and it was n ot only the surrounding nations

It says all the nations of the land (not planet Earth) would be gathered against Judah and Jerusalem, which is exactly what happened when Antiochus conquered them. Jerusalem then was part of the Seleucid Empire that was comprised of many nations.

The prophets were not prophesying about the restoration of a worldly nation in unbelief.

If he truly promised them the land in the manner which you currently believe, then how do you explain him overthrowing more than 600,000 Israalites in the wilderness? They never stepped foot in the promised land. Did God renege on his promise, or are you misinterpreting the promise? Again, the promise was to Abraham's seed, and in the third chapter of Galatians, the Apostle Paul told us that Abraham's seed is Christ and those who are truly in him, whether Jew or Gentile.

Well as you must assume Ezekiel 36:16-28 was fulfilled in Christ there is no point in going on.

Ezekiel prophesied during the Babylonian captivity. He was not looking ahead thousands of years into the future when he wrote chapter 36; he was looking ahead decades to when Israel and Judah would be restored to the land, and centuries to when they would be fully restored to God in Christ.

Well concerning your second point, in my view, a process has started. Half the people will be murdered or carried off into exile
