Oh God (1977) with George Burns and John Denver.
it a nice vibe whilst never reaching any great heights. I hope God is like George Burns. The Big G.

If I could think of good foreign films, I gotta say I adore Ernest and Celestine. So sweet, amazing animation.

Do you like foreign movies in the foreign language?

There are a lot of movies/ series o Netflix I "think" I want to watch, then I have to read it.... I HATE THAT! In all honesty maybe I am just lazy but why do you want to read a movie? I really do not get it!?!

Gettysburg (1993) - it's a movie about the 3 day battle of Gettysburg, and while it's not a documentary, it is perhaps the most historically accurate movie ever produced. It is VERY exciting and VERY moving, especially if you've been to see the grounds where the battle was fought, because that's where it was filmed. Along with big-time actors like Martin Sheen, Jeff Daniels, Sam Elliot, & Tom Berenger, the vast majority of the cast (which is massive) was made up of reenactment actors from all over the country, which is a big part of the reason that it ended up being so accurate and so well done.

And in case war movies aren't your thing, and romantic comedies are, give Father Goose (1964) a shot, with Cary Grant and Leslie Caron among others. I have watched both movies many times and continue to enjoy them whenever I do :)

Hello again @VineyardsOfEngedi, I thought I should tell you that Father Goose is actually a war movie too, in a way, as it's set in the Pacific during WWII. But it's not about any battles, it is just a cute and very entertaining romantic comedy about Cary Grant, Leslie Caron, and a number of schoolgirls who get stuck on an island together.

Yes, i do like those too, but then I have to read the bottom screen and I don't want to miss a scene, so I rarely do. :/

Although NETFLIX is offered here in Spain, I am not a subscriber… When I watch various movies and TV productions from the US and GB my TV gives me the option to put the language in the Original Version, though I find myself watching many shows in Spanish. Does NETFLIX have this option ? It sounds as though it does not, because here it is automatically in Spanish requiring the changeover to the VO...check it out... let me know...j God bless you...

Movie recommendations, anyone?

Recently I watched EL CID 1961 (my current fav :giggle:)
How cool it is to watch some of the older movies, see how things have changed over the years. The way people dressed back than, the way cars looked. Even before cell phones in movies lol.
