Can anyone tell me what the muslims believe. I have a mos near my house. Im not sure if I spelled that right. I don't wanna read a koran and find out I don't wanna be near that book. Its just that I hear they pray 5 times a day and the have like a little necklace thing that they carry with them like beads or something. Idk?? And I heard they have these like feasts. I think I heard one is coming up soon im not sure. So if u know their belief plz share with me and fill me in. All who can help is appreciated. God bless u all in Jesus name.
If you have any specific questions as to what Muslims believe
about what, please feel free to ask me. The correct spelling is "mosque" by the way. Religious Muslims do pray 5 times a day and they do have prayer beads, containing 99 beads, one for each of the 99 names of their God and some have 33 beads. They do have holidays, the next one is Ramdan which falls on the end of July this year.
If you are planning on dialoging with Muslims, please be prepared. They have a very high respect for all their prophets, they do accept Jesus as a prophet, the Messiah and they wholeheartedly reject any notion of Jesus as being God. They do not believe Jesus is the Son of God and they do not believe that Jesus died on the cross. They believe that their God rescued Jesus from death and He is alive today in heaven. To be 100% honest with you, there are a lot of Muslim apologists or "evangelists" (in Christian terms) who are very deceptive and dishonest. This is
not the case for all Muslims or even the average Muslim. But, the deceptive teaching from the Muslim leaders about what Christianity influences Muslims. So, they are taught lies about Christianity and lies about what we believe. The average Muslim has never read the Bible in the same way the average Christian has never read the Qur'an. A lot of Muslims who are active in "witnessing" will try to show you contradictions in the Bible to make you doubt your faith. Don't fret though, there are answers to every Muslim objection.
As I said before, if you have any specific questions please ask. This is a great 2-part lecture by a Christian scholar. It's very basic and lays out the very foundations of Islam and how Christians respond to some claims that Islam makes.

This is another great show on Islam and a Christian perspective again on how we respond and we react to some of the claims, beliefs and actions of Islam and Muslims.

Lord bless you.
