It may go to YouTube directly for you, but I'm telling you it doesn't go there for anyone else clicking on it.
Here is the link I posted: https://youtu.be/gxf_EhjZd5Y , I'm not sure how that other part of the link showed up
LPT - I'm not sure why it did that. I just copied link and pasted it. so there is no ill intent on my part - nobody is being scammed, its a real youtube channel dedicated to defending the text of the new testament - my site isn't monetized - I took on one of the most popular critics of the new testament and you guys are up in roar about a link.
I think what might have happened is when I copied the writeup from a facebook post that I sent to sam harris on his facebook page just earlier, that's what may have included the extension.
Let it go and move on..![]()
That could very well be and goo explaintation and I apologize if I came across harsh but on today's internet is so much wickedness and evil happening in the Internet and gets worse every year, we don't even know where it comes from their are getting so high tech with all the hacking and piggyback riding etc. one has to be on guard all the time.
again I apologize for being harsh I'm just concerned I don't want to be hacked nor anyone else.
Dr Ehrman personally emailed me and asked me to move my challenge over to his public blog. He was aware of the animations I have already done on his theories. He had no complaints about anything. I have a paid membership on his blog.
Thank you for your kind words LPT. I really appreciate it, and understand your concern, because it is a real threat out there. I'll be better to ensure due diligence when ever I post links on this site again. God Bless you
It doesn't matter if the conversation is in a private or public blog, as long as Bart Ehrman owns the website in which the conversation appears. As long as he owns the website in which the content appears, he can dictate the precise terms of use for that content.
So, in a nutshell...
you didn't actually get permission to use content on his blogs to create derivative works, you're just assuming that since he hasn't sued you yet, it must be alright?
I would sincerely caution any Christians reading this to be much more cautious and circumspect.
Although I consider Bart Ehrman a blight on humanity, there are still legal ramifications, as well as a host of basic proprieties to consider when dealing with an opponent who is so well respected by such a hostile opposition.
IS this the video?

The video was quite fascinating indeed I enjoyed it and liked the animations good job. IMO the four are liken to the garment the soldiers tore into four pieces.
The link goes right to the youtube video not my facebook page. the link is youtube.
*shrug* maybe you copied the video link from an embedded fb post, instead of from the actual youtube page -- and although the text of the url looks just like youtube, fb had their 'stuff' embedded in the address.
so it would be fb being sneaky, not you. though i suspect fb doesn't do stuff like that intentionally; it's just optimal for their database management not to use resources to strip their internal pointers from within their own site. if that makes sense. if you were on a mobile browser, and went through facebook to get the link so you could post it here, that's probably exactly what happened; the youtube app used the facebook launching point as its link, because it just called a variable that stored the address that launched youtube, and in most cases that would be a plain youtube link, but fb app has all it's own internal addressing built into links.
but nice video! you've done a lot of work, and it's really cool how you followed your inspiration with the effort![]()
