An elderly gentleman walked into a local barber shop for his regular haircut. As he sat down in the chair, he looked out the window and noticed a man standing on the sidewalk across the street, staring intently at the shop.

The gentleman mentioned it to the barber, "That fellow across the street has been standing there for twenty minutes just staring in here."

The barber glanced out the window, smiled, and said, "Oh, don't worry about him. That's just my twin brother."

The gentleman asked, "Is he waiting for you to finish your shift?"
The barber replied, "No, he's a street performer. He just uses my mirror reflection to practice his mime routine."

I wanted to move to Alaska and I did. Hired contractors to build a cabin on 10 forest covered acres that I had purchased years earlier, and took my wife and 4 children up there and was living my dream to the extent that that was possible.

A few years ago I realized I couldn't take care of the property like I like to any more so moved to Wyoming.

I love stories like this, where God warns people ahead of time because He knows what's coming.

It's funny how, when I was growing up and computers were coming onto the scene, it was assumed that if you "got into computers," your future was set.

Nowadays, I've heard channels saying that learning to code is basically worthless? (I'm not sure if that's true?)

It's amazing -- not always in a good way -- how things can turn on a dime.
Yes, learning to write code is basically a waste of time and effort.
I can get an AI to knock it out in a fraction of the time for a fraction of the money and have one of tens of thousands of unemployed code writers install it for me.

I learned to code when I was in College when 4tran was just coming out along with cobol. Pascal I think was the newest kid on the block.
It wasn't hard...you had a flow chart and a glossary of computer terms/commands. You could either do the logic or you couldn't.
Errors would show up at precise locations if you programmed it correctly to do so. So you could find your typos.

Honestly it was so boring to me and I couldn't see how Microsoft was gonna make money....(this was in the mid 80's ) and since everyone was going to figure out how to be a code monkey....why bother? (I was so wrong)

Machine code was also easy but more restrictive. (All true all at once....ladder logic....but it came in handy for robotics as an electrician because so few others could do it)

Software has become huge, complex, and requires classes to understand how to use various platforms.....none are intuitive like Windows originally was.....which definitely is not that intuitive anymore.

Now....everything is AI. Just tell that AI bot what you want and it will make it happen.

Airfryer

Lots of people keep saying oh you have to buy an airfryer, where's your airfryer, why don't you own an airfryer???

I'm like calm down I have nowhere to PUT an airfryer in my kitchen. All the power points are taken and the cupboards are full.
So no while it may be good to brag that you have an airfryer (and people do go on about them) I just have nowhere to put one. I have to fry my food in a fry pan or wok like everyone else has done for hundreds of years.

I have taken to saying to people who ask me 'why don't you have x? '
My answer is 'I'm not sure...maybe it's because YOU haven't bought me x?'

They the ones who bring up the topic, not me.

An air fryer is just a smaller, more intense convection oven. You can use an air fryer as a convection oven and vice versa.

The question is, what do you want to cook? Do you ever want to fry a whole chicken and wish you had an air fryer in which to fry it?

If they keep nagging you about this miraculous air fryer, start questioning their dietary habits. "Why do you eat so much chicken that you need a specialized machine to cook it?"

I can roast a chicken in my normal oven, or salt bake it in a wok.

I'm sure people eat things other than chicken...I saw Jamie Oliver use one, like a dual one to cook salmon. But salmon is easier to steam in a rice cooker.

So...what happened to your chainsaw...couldn't your wife and four kids help you?
Was it their dream as well, or just yours..? 🤷‍♀️

When is the next rocket leaving for the moon? Do I need to look on the NASA website? Also...how much is it. Do you know any astronauts? Do kids ride free?

Kids ride half-price, but giraffes cost double. 😎🦒🚀🛰️
