I take issue with your remark. I don't know anyone who has said it's not necessary to obey God. What is stated and is scriptural is that Christians are no longer under the Law of Moses. Tell me one person on this forum who has said that obedience to God is not necessary? The Law is not God. Some of the legalists on this forum idolise the law. They are in for a shock when they stand before Lord Jesus.
Gideon....
Can't remember if I've replied to the above.
Sorry if I'm repeating.
You could take issue with my remark.
You're taking it personally, maybe, not sure.
I invited
@mailmandan to a party just a few days ago.
The party was a member, on this very forum, who stated that obedience to God is not necessary.
Also, I've had to occassion to read MANY posts and I can assure you that this is a belief that many have.
They believe in FAITH ALONE.....as defined by the idea that a person needs ONLY faith, and nothing else,
and he will be saved.
§Baptism is a work.
Obedience is a work.
They believe anything they do is a work.
A member on another forum, just this week, stated that CONFESSING Jesus, as in Romans, is a work because we're engaging in AN ACTION and so it's a work.
I want to end with this and I've said it many times...
maybe you missed it:
THE LAW IS DEAD.
It was abolished 2 thousand years ago.
If someone wants to follow The Law,,,that is their prerogative and they're allowed to.
I don't follow the Law and most Christians do not.
I'm addressing those Christiians on these threads.
